We understand how concerning this can be, and we appreciate you taking the time to share the details with us. As a dealership, we are required to follow the guidelines set forth by Kia. Our team performed the oil consumption tests according to Kia’s standards, and the results fell within the manufacturer’s acceptable limits. That said, if your vehicle is still under the powertrain warranty, we are more than willing to perform another Kia oil consumption test at no charge to you. We also encourage you to reach out directly to Kia Consumer Affairs for additional support at 800-333-4542, as they may be able to provide further assistance or next steps. As I’ve stated just because you say it’s ok doesn’t mean it is. Between one oil change and another ( less than 5000 miles) there was no oil mark on the dipstick Who knows how much oil was consumed at that point. The next 1000 miles it was a quart low witnessed by your “team”. Then Kia did the oil consumption test and put tamper seals on. Because we all know that my main goal is to siphon oil out of my car. When I came back in just under 1000 miles your “team” said it was only a half quart low and that it was ok. Because you say it is? Also I wasn’t afforded the opportunity to observe your team checking the level though I requested to do so. The next two checks I did, after 983 mikes and then again after 987 miles both times it was a full quart low. Strange don’t you think? Again as stated if it loses that much oil so quickly there must be something wrong as evidenced by all the internet reports I’ve read and the fact you have a technical service bulletin out regarding this engine Do you really think I’m lying about this? To what end? As far as the “free” oil consumption test, that’s under the guidelines I’ve read And why would I waste another 3 hours in your waiting room for someone to check the level of the oil? As far as the number you give me to call, corporate, they say the company line of “ it’s ok per industry standards. That’s a bunch of nonsense because guess what. It’s not ok per consumer standards I’m not going away, because I never do and if I have put out a review everyday well I have the time to do so
