I had to go to work so I only test drove at that moment. The GM called me and had me do a credit app. I got an approval, I worked with the GM and he gave me his cell number to make it easier to get documents he needed. I told him the down payment I was comfortable with, the general manager would not return my texts so that vehicle got sold, he also did not care about the down payment I was comfortable with. I had to buy a car site unseen due to the dealership scaring me into the possibly of this one also being sold, and had to put more money down then I was comfortable with just to have a vehicle. My rental was due back the next day and with work I was out of time. Then I wasn’t able to pick up my vehicle for days due to it being at a different dealership having warranty work done. Finally I pick it up, (Monday evening) the very next morning I message my salesman to let him know about my rear wiper is not working and the washer fluid will not spray to the front or the back. I am told to bring it into service, the next day my check engine light comes on. I again let my salesman know. I am finally able to bring it into service on Saturday and leave it most of the day to have my issues looked at only to comeback and be told they only do oil changes on Saturday’s and they scanned the code for the check engine light to be nice, but that is all that was done. Turns out it is a purge pump that needs to be replaced and I have to take it to a different dealership to have the work done so it is covered under warranty. I reach out to my salesman and let him know and let him know that I am still having the wiper and washer fluid issue, that I can drop my vehicle off and leave it for a day or two to give time to have it looked at. (During this whole time a total of 2 weeks since I took delivery of the vehicle I am also sending messages to the general manager who is not responding but is reading the messages cause he has an iPhone and so do I and it shows he had read them) my salesman stops responding but is also reading messages. I reach out to service, I am told that my salesman needs to set it up with a sales manger and the service manager to have it covered. Here we on exactly 2 weeks from when I picked up my vehicle I try to call my salesman, he is out sick. I try talking to a sales manager he says he will follow up with me, hours go by, I try calling again and just get voicemails. I decide to stop in after work and the sales manager brings me to service (he has not even started looking into anything and this is 4.5 hours after I finally spoke with someone) he talked to the service manager who tells him to get with the GM, I chime in and tell them that the GM knows about the issues cause I texted him but he decided not to respond to me. The sales manager comes back, tells me that they will look into it. I said the issue or it being covered since it should have been working before I was given the vehicle. He said the issue. I expressed my frustration and was told I would kept informed. I doubt I will be kept informed, I am sure I will have to keep reaching out to figure out what is wrong with my vehicle and I am sure I will have to fight to get it paid for. I do not recommend this dealership they will sell you a car and then if you have an issue you are on your own. I would hate to see if I had a power train issue and have to use the lifetime power train warranty they claim to offer I am sure there is some fine print that would make it so the consumer has to pay for it. I have waited to write this review giving them the chance to make things right, but that clearly has not happened. Save yourself the headache and buy a car elsewhere. More

At best they didn’t have courtesy to let me know instead of having me drive over. At worst… well... Definitely playing into the reason people discredit car dealers. More
Not worth the one star you have to give in order to leave a review! I went in for an oil change and told them my mass are flow sensor was accumulating oil if they could see what was the cause. I watched th a review! I went in for an oil change and told them my mass are flow sensor was accumulating oil if they could see what was the cause. I watched the tech plug in to my car with code reader. Took less than 10 minutes. They call me in to discuss. I’m told that a valve on my turbo was getting stuck open causing the issue. He goes on to tell me that the repair is almost $600. I told him that I cleaned the sensor my self. That it only took me 15 minutes and that it lasted for well over 500 miles and that I wouldn’t be getting it repaired today. Mind you that I have purchased 3 new Hyundai vehicles plus 2 used vehicles off the lot. I get my bill for the oil change and diagnostic hookup and it $320. I questioned why the bill was so high and was told that the diagnostic scan was $220. I said I think that’s too high and was told they had to cover the mechanics time, 15 minutes. As I sat in the waiting room waiting for my car a salesman came in and told an older gentleman that they noticed he was low on engine coolant. I was surprised they didn’t just top it off but the next words out of his mouth was we can do a pressure test for you for $225…..How about topping it off and telling him to keep his eye on it??? No, they are pushing to sell sell sell to anybody they can get to perform service on. I couldn’t help thinking that if that was my mom sitting there she would’ve been like well if you think I need it and they would’ve charged her $225 because she was low on coolant. Another lady, sitting in there with me was telling me all about the extra things they were trying to sell her. The manager here is obviously only interested in the service revenue and not his customers. They pray on the elderly who are a trusting generation. I said I bought five cars from there, but I have also bought my “LAST” car from there! It’s a shame, Gulfport Hyundai used to be a dealership you could trust but the new general manager there is only interested in numbers and if that’s all Matt Bowers is worried about then I’ll never pull in to one of his dealership’s again I went and complained to the GM about the price of my diagnostic test he wanted to debated with me whether I signed/agreed to the test being done. I expected after him, recognizing my faithfulness to the Hyundai brand that he would discount my overpriced diagnostic test. When he realized I wouldn’t take no for an answer instead of him settling the issue right there he sends me to his service manager. Who instantly discounted the $225 charge to $26. The manager could have done that but he didn’t want his people to see him giving in to me so he made his sales manager meet with me so his ego could remain intact. This guy is a bum and gives a terrible experience to the Hyundai brand.. I’ll be glad the day they change him out!!!!! More
I can't do negative or zero stars, and they never deserve the one I HAD to click. This location and manager are the exact definition of slimy car salesmen. The manager is all about tricks and how to force the sale with no regard to what is your decision He is a bully and creepy. He violates every bit of personal space and client dignity; The numbers are flipped, and paperwork is not what they are actually presenting to have you sign. He stood in front of customers with his crotch in their faces, and it is sad since it does not help the same with the anatomy of a Ken doll. He is repulsive and vile. He refuses to honor any of the online discounts that are FACTORY DISCOUNTS saying that the discounts are the most ridiculous thing Matt does, and he will not honor them for any sale. Markup on the actual sale was a cute little discount and then lines later, a markup for buying from matt bowers that is more than double the discount. It is actually said - its part of purchasing from us and cannot be removed. There is no breakdown, just part of being in "the matt bowers family." The actual sale price they tried was over 10 grand over the sticker. It was interesting to watch the insanity that is the Richardson sales mind and then walk away and thankful there are other dealerships so close. A new car was purchased 2 days later, 8 grand less than the sticker at Bowers (Which was 18grand less than bowers and richardson wanted to charge). I say emphatically - STAY AWAY FROM ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP AND BRIAN RICHARDSON!! More
We spoke to the dealership who assured us they would hold a car while we drove in from out of state. I found out that it was damaged, which is something that the "certification" process would have caught. Hmmm?!? Tried to get them to fix it. Couldn't even get them to work on it. Got another dealer to fix it. Asked original dealer to cover those repair costs. They refused...making up any and every excuse, side-step and disingenuous comment they could. Their approach appears to be: The customer is always WRONG! And somehow they keep abusing people (check out other reviews, PLEASE) and getting away with it. Sad. More

I called Matt Bowers Hyundai for a service appointment for my 2022 Santa Fe. The fuel access door was stuck and couldn't be opened. I was told the earliest appointment would be over 4 weeks later. I expla for my 2022 Santa Fe. The fuel access door was stuck and couldn't be opened. I was told the earliest appointment would be over 4 weeks later. I explained that with the door stuck closed I could not add fuel therefore the car would be unusable for over a month and requested an earlier date. Was told sorry that's the best we can do. After trying to plead my case I asked to be transferred to the General manager or Service Manager. I was told that she would have someone call me. Having received no call, I sent a message using their website contact form asking for help. I have yet to receive any contact from the dealership. I contacted the Hyundai dealer in Covington and received a next day appointment for them to open the fuel door and schedule a later return for complete repair. If you are considering buying a car from them, well I think you can guess my opinion. If you're considering buying a Santa Fe be aware that the fuel access door may stick and there is no emergency option other than prying the door open and damaging the car. It is a dealer service item only. More
