My Review of McCloskey Motors - Truck Town:
I was very surprised to go into a car dealership and not to be greeted by the usual shark salesman. Instead I met some great people who seemed genuinely interested in offering me a car that would meet my expectations. It was one of the most pleasant buying experiences I have ever had.

My Review of McCloskey Motors - Truck Town:
I purchased a car from here 5 months ago. We got it home and found out it had a bad dash cluster. After being in the shop over 40 days we got billed over 400 dollars even with their "extra warranty coverage". Now the engine is dying on a 2009 we bought from this dealership. They also failed to tell us of many recalls on the car that were not fixed. The sales manager has no problem flat out lying to you, assured me she would "take care of it" and call back. Never got a call! The warranty company called us letting us know that the car could not be repaired due to false information that this dealership was providing during the repair process. Which took a good time to sort out! They have no problem giving false information to cover themselves.

NOW I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION FROM YOU ANN MARIE THAT THEY COULD DO ANYTHING!!! I WASTED A DAY BECAUSE I WAS SERIOUS! NEXT TIME YOU ASK SOME ONE IF THEY ARE SERIOUS AT LEAST YOU CAN BE SERIOUS TOO. MIND YOU I HAVE 2 KIDS AND A DISABLED MOM TO TAKE CARE OF INSTEAD OF DRIVING 2 FREAKING HOURS JUST TO BE TOLD NOTHING CAN BE DONE??? I DONT THINK YOUR COMPANY TOOK ME SERIOUSLY. I KNOW MY CREDIT IS BAD AND I DONT HAVE A DOWN PAYMENT. I EVEN TOLD YOU I DIDNT HAVE ONE. YOU SAID SOME CARS DONT NEED A DOWN PAYMENT. I TOOK YOU VERY SERIOUSLY. My Review of McCloskey Motors - Truck Town:
I stopped by McClosky Truck town to look at used cars for my family to get to and from work and school. Nothing fancy or expensive....just reliable. I realize we had credit hurdles to overcome and we weren't overly hopeful on getting approved. We were happy when the salesman came back and said we were approved, but only for a 2001 mercury sable they just got in as a trade in. We went over to the service lot to look at the car and take it for a test drive. It wasn't the best looking car but the price was right and would fit my family of five. We went for a test drive, it had a lot of shakes and noises coming out of it and when the pedal was to the floor we were only doing 25mph. There was a huge crack in the windshield. All of these problems were addressed with the salesman and we were told that they would all be fixed before we took possession of the car. We went back to the dealership and signed all of the paperwork to hold the car(this was a Thursday). We were told that the car would be finished by Tuesday at the very latest. On Tuesday they still hadn't called us so we called them. They said the car hadn't even gone into get fixed until Monday, so it wasn't ready yet. We were ok with that, they just said to call back on Thursday to see how it was going. We called on Thursday and the salesman said that they were just taking it out for a test drive and it should be done within a couple of hours. So we went into the dealership to sign all of the final paperwork and give them our down payment. We got there at 2pm to find out the salesman wasn't even working that day, so we started dealing with Ron. Ron had no idea what was going on with the car so he called the techs. He said he didn't know who told us it was going to be ready today, but the finance lady would be right with us. We went in, signed the paperwork, paid the down payment, and were told to come back into finance office to get temp plate when the car was in the lot. We waited, and waited. Ron came back out at 6pm and told us that the car wasn't going to be ready that day. Possibly not even for a couple more days. We voiced our irritation of having to sit there for 4 hours before anyone bothered to tell us there was no way the car was going to be done. Ron had a HUGE attitude and basically told us that we were lying and no one told us it would be ready that day. When we said it was fine, we just needed a ride home, and wanted the car to be fixed, he then said "Well, I’ve already have over $1000 worth of work into this car and I can just rewind this deal right now." We felt like we were stuck in a hard place. We really need this car and they PROMISED to fix it. So we went home. We called on Saturday and they said it was ready for pick up. So we went in to get it. The windshield was still cracked. Ron said they wouldn't fix that until the finance company sent them the money for the car, so we would have to bring it back then. It could be up to 2 or 3 weeks before that happens. So we said ok, left with the car and not even 2 blocks down the road the check engine light came on. We turned around and they said to take the car home and drop it back off at tech center on Monday. On Monday when we left our driveway there was a pool of oil under the car. Now we have "Owned" the car for almost a week and have only had possession of it for a day. It is still sitting at the tech center and Ron tells us he is just going to have the tech reset the light. He isn't going to fix the problem that is causing the light to go on. He has an attitude and threatens us every time we talk to him. We were given another managers name to call and see if this problem can be resolved. We told him we didn't want to deal with Ron anymore. He told us he couldn't do anything, we would have to keep dealing with Ron, and transferred us over to Ron’s phone. We hung up.
Posted this complaint and within in 15 minutes got a phone call from the manager yelling at us telling us to take it down or he wouldn’t work with us to fix the car and would rewind the whole deal so we wouldn’t have a car. So I deleted my complaint, waited 4 more days and talked to Ron a few more times……Nothing was done to fix the car. So after being threatened for the last time to REWIND the deal, we took him up on that threat. We didn’t want to deal with them any longer. The only positive experience we had was picking up our down payment from this HORRIBLE dealership.
We understand that they might not want to put any more money into this car, but we were promised these problems would be fixed. I consider myself a very patient person, if this car was going to take 2 weeks to be fixed, just tell me and keep me informed. This company has not once called us to tell us what is going on with the car. We have to call them to get answers, and when we do we are made to feel worthless. POOR Communication, HORRIBLE customer service!!!!!

My Review of McCloskey Motors - Truck Town:
We had a pleasant experience finding and purchasing our vehicle at McCloskey. Sonny and Chick were very professional, friendly and knowledgable. We really liked how easy it was to look at and test drive vehicles. Typically car buying is stressful, but this was quite the opposite. Setting up of financing was a synch. Props to Candace for making the review and signing of paperwork quick and easy. Additionally, this dealer kept their word in delivering the minor maintenance items we asked for on the vehicle we purchased. I would recommend this dealer to family and friends.

My Review of McCloskey Motors - Truck Town:
I was completely fed up with car dealerships and sales people. I had been searching for over a month for a vehicle that I wanted with a price I could accept. After several sales people gave me the run around or tried to talk me into vehicles that I didn't want I ended up at McClowsky Motors. Jarell was awesome, the slurppy run with we test drove the vehicle and waited on financing just made the expereince more relaxing and enjoyable.

My Review of McCloskey Motors - Truck Town:
As of today, 7-11-11, I cannot recommend this dealership. I thought they were upfront, honest and sincere, but it looks like I may have been fooled. I was sold a BRAND NEW car, I noticed a ding/scratch on the door and asked if there was another one on the lot, I was told yes but its white, I did not want a white car. The salesman told me, oh that’s not a problem, we can fix that as good as new, and you’ll never even know it was there. I repeatedly asked if he was sure, and was assured it would be fixed as good as new.

I’ve taken the car in twice to be fixed now, both times the door was not fixed. Now I’m supposed to bring it in again (in two days) so the same guy who tried the first time can do it again. Each time I have to bring my car in I need to impose on someone to follow me there, take me to work, then come get me from work and take me back to pick up the car.

I truly feel like the people at the dealership feel that if they ignore me that I will give up and not make them honor their commitment to fix the car. I know a ding/scratch isn’t a big deal in the overall picture, but why should I have a nasty 3 to 4 inch gouge on a brand new car.

My Review of McCloskey Motors - Truck Town:
i was looking for a cadillac for room and comfort. im 6ft 4in tall and wanted a car that fit me. i ended up getting a really nice car because i could not get financing for the car i wanted(cadillac).i got a really nice buick that was perfect in reliabilty and comforting to drive, but it had no leg rom for me and i got rid of it six months later because the front of the car was rubbing my leg and gave me a sore on the side of my calf. it became uncomfortable,as it irritated my leg more and more. so i got rid of it and looked for a bigger car.im going back to mcclosckey though, because the staff was very nice and friendly.
