My issue began after leaving with the vehicle and driving it for a day. The Bluetooth microphone never worked. I couldn’t make calls, couldn’t give voice commands, couldn’t do anything that required me to sp it for a day. The Bluetooth microphone never worked. I couldn’t make calls, couldn’t give voice commands, couldn’t do anything that required me to speak to it. That might not sound like the worst thing in the world, but I drive all over the place for work and to get the kids where they need to go. I’m always on the phone, and this completely removes that aspect. This issue wasn’t disclosed to me before or at the time of purchase (likely because you guys didn’t check), and on the website, Bluetooth was listed as one of the features. So, I called back the next day and spoke to Casey, who told me to try bringing it to Volkswagen. I didn’t buy the car from them. Why would I bring it to them? So then he says to bring it to you guys, I’ll get a loaner, you’ll take a look, and I won’t pay anything. Good stuff, that’s what I would expect from a "reputable" dealership. I brought it in around 4 pm Thursday (just a little over 24 hours after buying the vehicle) to have it checked out. I got a loaner (Virginia was awesome), and I was on my way, hoping to hear something back the next day as to a timeline or update. I called four times, left messages, and got no returned calls. I called again around 5, got bounced around, and I refused to let anyone hang up without giving me some sort of update (by the way, somebody actually told me they couldn’t put me on hold anymore). Eventually, I got the receptionist (who’s great), and she said Dan would call me. He did and explained that the car went to VW earlier in the day, and he hadn’t heard back yet. That’s at least something. So not completely terrible yet. Monday comes, and I’m hoping for good news (80+ hours with the loaner vehicle, 27 with the vehicle purchased for 25k + some other package from your dealership, if you’re keeping track). Early afternoon, I reached out again since nobody proactively contacted me, and finally, I spoke to Evan, whom I tried multiple times to reach on Friday. He tells me that Dan will contact me. Dan calls and says he hadn’t heard from VW yet but will call me again later with an update. Dan calls at 5:50 to say VW sees the problem, they ordered a part, and are hopeful they will have it fixed tomorrow (Tuesday). I’m excited, thinking I might get my car back Tuesday or Wednesday at worst. Tuesday comes (104+ hours with the loaner vehicle, 27 with the vehicle purchased for 25k + some other $2,000 package from your dealership, if you’re still keeping track), and Dan calls me around 2:15 and leaves a message saying the part didn’t work and they have to order it specially, which will take 3-5 days. I called VW myself to verify, and yes, it’s a part that takes 3-5 days (I actually called two VW dealerships to verify this), but it sounds like they did not start working on it until Monday, which is the reason for all the delays. That could have been communicated better. But all this now means that I searched and searched for a car for 3-4 weeks, test-drove multiple vehicles, then made the decision to buy from McGrath Toyota instead of any side-of-the-road dealership because I assumed you did your due diligence on a car you would sell, only to have my car for 27 hours. Meanwhile, I have to drive this loaner vehicle for a minimum of an entire week, but it could last into next week depending on the delivery of the OCU module. By the way, in my initial message to Casey on Thursday, 8/15, I told him that the OCU module was likely the issue and even linked to an article that explains the issue completely. But hey, 5 days later, VW sees it too. I'm frustrated. I thought I was getting better than this when buying at Mcgrath. I have a 16 year old who I plan on buying a car for around the holidays then 3 more kids 7-8 years down the line who will need cars also. I will not be buying from any McGrath. More

I'm not sure anyone would say that buying a car is a stress-free or enjoyable experience. But who you work with can make all the difference in the world. We were lucky enough to work with Aleksandar (Al stress-free or enjoyable experience. But who you work with can make all the difference in the world. We were lucky enough to work with Aleksandar (Alex) Knezevic when recently purchasing our car at McGrath Toyota, and he really helped make it an easy, straightforward experience. Alex answered all of our questions and was patient vs. pushy, and his humor made what is an inevitably stressful purchase much less so. We enjoyed working with him and appreciated his down-to-earth approach. We highly recommend working with him! More
