Not how I would expect to be treated at a dealership in 2021, 1950 maybe, but not 2021. Arranged for a test drive of 2021 Subaru Crosstreck (Alfredo was awesome!). The test drive was great; it would be a terrific car for my son when he starts driving next year. After we were done, a salesman (Rob Johnson) spent a few minutes telling me how difficult it is to get a new vehicle now, that I should order what I want and wait for it, and shared that they are not negotiating - straight MSRP. During the conversation, he was condescending and a little patronizing. Continually looking to my partner (a man) for answers, I chalked it up to him being young. Finally, my partner got annoyed and stood up to leave. I asked a couple more questions and did not agree to commit to something (especially since they have no inventory). I said I would think about it, thanked him for his time, and left, following my partner out the door. 10 minutes later, I received a phone call from Rob; after he asked me if a mask left in the vehicle we drove was mine, he began to chastise me for leaving "so abruptly." He went on for over 5 minutes about how I should approach buying a car, that I should allow a salesperson to spend more time speaking with me, that I should not leave the dealership as that is disrespectful to a salesperson, that he was taking his time to speak to me in good faith and that my not allowing him to speak to me longer is not the best way to buy a car, that "being a good customer" meant building a relationship with a salesperson. It is hard to do that if I leave the dealership... I was absolutely floored! He then went on to say when I come back, I need to give a salesperson a better opportunity to sell me a vehicle and that he is not going to be in the industry long as he is moving on to something else - it is a good thing because he can't handle a customer walking out then he needs to do something else to make a living. If I were a man, I would never have received a phone call like that. Absolutely unreal! I grew up in the automotive industry; the last thing I need is some punk treating me like a little girl who doesn't know what she wants. More
I purchased my vehicle from Muller several years ago and have had it serviced there ever since. I have always been pleased with the courteous, helpful, and friendly attention given by everyone at the dealer have had it serviced there ever since. I have always been pleased with the courteous, helpful, and friendly attention given by everyone at the dealership- especially Kevin, who is the service consultant I usually work with. There are Subaru dealerships closer to where I live but my experiences at Muller keep me coming back. More
