The clutch in the Maxium I owned, after 150,000 miles went. Toby Rivers was recommended to me and we begin working on the purchase of a 2011 Altima. Everyone was very friendly and helped in working out the finacing. The dealership has always been very clean and waiting on service work to be done has been fast and always informative on what was requested. Melissa in the service dept. has also been a great help the times at the service dept. I would recommend Union City Nissan to other buyers. More
I needed another car, but I was hesitant to finance car. Toby helped get the car I wanted and a payment I could afford despite my credit challenges. Toby helped get the car I wanted and a payment I could afford despite my credit challenges. More
I'm a sales professional in the software industry. I'm sensitive to the image of "sales people" and in my industry I like to become a Trusted Advisor to my customers. So I very high expectations of other sensitive to the image of "sales people" and in my industry I like to become a Trusted Advisor to my customers. So I very high expectations of other sales professionals. Toby definitely met and exceeded my expectations as a Trusted Advisor. On my first visit I was simply interested in driving several models of cars to get an idea of what I wanted. Toby took plenty of time allowing us to drive several models. And he knew up front that on that particular day, I was "just looking". However, I was impressed by that fist visit enough that I made a second visit about a week later. I'm a bit larger than the average person so headroom is crucial to me. I don't fit in just any car. On this second visit I think we pulled about 8 different cars to try to find exactly which model (sedan vs. coupe) would work with the right options (sunroof vs. no sunroof). Of course I actually declared I wanted the "impossible" build of cars. They simply don't come that way from the factory at all. However, after about an hour of my indecision, I figure out the minimum things I wanted and the options that I didn't mind. After a 10 minute jog up the hill Toby returned with the perfect car. It would become MY car. I intended to return later that night to finish my transaction but a personal tragedy happened and I couldn't return for four days. That didn't matter to Toby. He held the keys for me until I was ready. On the third trip I was ready to buy. I was happy to see that everyone had enjoyed a family-style Thanksgiving buffet that day. I had already secured what I thought was a good deal on financing. My credit isn't perfect but it is pretty good. Funny thing was the "dealer's credit" was a better interest rate and better terms than my bank's offer. After a short hour of finishing off the paperwork I had my first new car in a long time. I can't stress how pleasant it was to transact business with the folks at the dealer in general and Toby specifically. At no time was there any pressure. They didn't "sell" me a car. They enabled me to buy exactly what I wanted. And after a month of owning the Nissan Altima, it is exactly what I wanted. Without question I'd send anyone here to buy a car from these folks. More
My credit was horrible and I was just out of Bankruptcy. I went online and applied at this location and was contacted promptly by Mr Rivers. He was very kind and made me feel he was concerned about helping I went online and applied at this location and was contacted promptly by Mr Rivers. He was very kind and made me feel he was concerned about helping me. This salesman treated me with great respect, as if I had as much money as anybody else and I had almost nothing. He got me into a nice 2010 Toyota Corolla LE which I just love. It was more than I expected with my credit and he made it happen without a downpayment with a great Bank. I will be forever grateful to Nissan South and this excellent saleman. This car was really needed and Mr Rivers took a lot of stress out of my life by making it happen. I can not thank Mr Rivers and Nissan South enough. (I just proudly paid my 1st car payment) Thanks again, Sincerely, Angelia More
This Dealer has to be one of the Best dealers, I've been to a in a while. Terrell Was so knowledgeable about everything. At first when Elijah put me with Terrell, I thought WAIT! I'm not working with Him (E to a in a while. Terrell Was so knowledgeable about everything. At first when Elijah put me with Terrell, I thought WAIT! I'm not working with Him (Elijah). Because when spoke with him on the phone initially he was so helpful and informing as well as a great since of humor, that I found myself not being able to wait to get to the Dealership. And when I came I felt a lil mad but Terrell was the exact same way which made me feel so comfortable, and when I purchased my new Nissan Versa Sedan 2012, The General Manager Taurus came and thanked me and welcomed me to the Nissan Family. Very awesome experience. More
Overall experience of trying Nissan of Union City's "Guaranteed Approval" very poor and would not recommend to anyone. Left sitting at table for two hours after told a deal was approved only to find o "Guaranteed Approval" very poor and would not recommend to anyone. Left sitting at table for two hours after told a deal was approved only to find out that it wasn't. Vehicle for trade had hood hydraulic broken during appraisal. Returned a week after initial visit due to different salesman having another approval. Told that our personal information (SSN, DOB, Address, and last two earning statements) had been taken home by our original sales person from a week ago and had lost, left at home, left in car, couldn't find or produce. Felt like a scam from the beginning. Phone messages and emails sent to owner, sales managers, and operations managers never returned. STEER CLEAR OF THIS DEALERSHIP - CHECK ALL REVIEWS BECAUSE THEY ARE ACCURATE. More
I went to this dealership to trade in my car for a new Maxima. Deal couldn't go through with my credit and the amount owed. (No problem.) I purchased a Sonata instead. Instead of selling me the Sonata for Maxima. Deal couldn't go through with my credit and the amount owed. (No problem.) I purchased a Sonata instead. Instead of selling me the Sonata for blue book, they hiked up the price of the Sonata, and made the paperwork look as though I placed a "down payment" on a car - when I didn't. Bottom-line - the dealership is crooked when it comes to deal. WAIT! There is more. They asked me a 10-day pay -off on my car. Its been almost a month and they haven't paid-off my car. The temporary tag on my Sonata expires in 12 days and my county registration office haven't received the application for my title. I called to speak with the sales manager who gives me this excuse "Well, normally we ask for a 30 pay-off". I don't care what you normally ask for, I'm telling you what you did! How does "normally" help me? My experience is this: "Nissan of Union City" is there to make money. That's it. They assess your need and determine to how to make money from you. I don't think its personal but if you are looking for a dealership that is there is to help you and portraits good customer service - this is NOT the place. They run heavy advertising on the radio because of their reputation of milling large volumes of customers in - to make money. This is NOT the dealership to establish a long-term working relationship with. More
I was told by a salesman the payoff of my vehicle was $19,000 when it was actually $11.400. Then, even though my car is in good condition, I was only offered $6000 for my vehicle (Kelly Blue Book for 'g $19,000 when it was actually $11.400. Then, even though my car is in good condition, I was only offered $6000 for my vehicle (Kelly Blue Book for 'good' was over $13,000 by the way). Their reasoning? They stated my vehicle needed brakes. Did I mention the vehicle I'm speaking of is a Nissan? I was dealing with a salesman (the one who stated the payoff was approximately $8,000 more than the actual amount) AND Store Manager (the one who offered me over half less than what is left owed). Very poor customer service skills and attitude. I will not go back and strongly caution anyone else. More
First of all, I wasnt desperate for a vehicle, but I received a card in the mail said I was pre-approved so I decided to check it out. I purchased a vehicle at the end of May 2011. Prior to signing pape received a card in the mail said I was pre-approved so I decided to check it out. I purchased a vehicle at the end of May 2011. Prior to signing paperwork I informed my sales rep that the vehicle needed new tires and new back tail light because it was cracked. They agreed to fix those problems and I signed the paperwork. In the glove compartment I find a bill of sale from someone who previously tried to but the car and it revealed that NISSAN OF UNION CITY SOLD THE CAR TO ME FOR $2000.00 MORE. Yes, they raised to price on the car. So tell me how does the value of a car go up. Secondly, when I returned a couple of weeks later to get the WE OWE taken care of. I was informed that the deal had not been finalized. The bank would not finance me for that amount. Therefore Nissan of Union City had to lower the price of the car as if they were doing me a favor because they tried to sell it to someone else for 2000.00 cheaper. So they told me they would call me when the finalized the deal so I could come in and resign paperwork. The next week I went in to resign and David told me that I needed to put more money down. I informed David that I didn't have money to put down that I had other obligations and that they could have their car back because I have another car that I own and I that I wasn't desperate for a car. He then told me that I would not get my down payment back they would charge me for the miles put on the car. Subquently, I agreed to put another 500.00 down payment down which I postdated. However, about a week later I received a call that I needed to come in AGAIN and resign paperwork. At this point I am pissed and ready for them to get their vehicle back. So on the NEW paperwork that I signed they moved the due date of my first car not up which was around the time that I had postdated a check for. I made David Mcadoo aware of this problem and he told me DONT WORRY ABOUT IT THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY THE ADDITIONAL DOWN PAYMENT. HE TOLD ME THAT HE KNOWS THAT THIS HAS A BEEN A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS TRANSACTION AND THAT HE WOULD DO THAT FAVOR FOR ME. I was very elated and signed the paperwork. I did not get my check back that day so I decided to put a stop payment so that they did not mistakenly run it through and mess up my bank account. I received a call a month later from a Nelly who informed me that my check was returned. I informed Nelly that David told me that I did not have to pay. So she said she would talk to David and call me back. BEHOLD DAVID DENIES HE EVER TOLD ME THIS.
