My Review of O'Donnell Honda:
After leasing my vehicle and taking it home, I have been lied to by the salesman regarding his supervisor, and ignored by both the new car manager and the general manager of the dealership. I was given false information by the salesman the day I got my car. Had I been given accurate information the day I went into the dealership regarding insurance coverage, there is a possibility I would not have gotten the model of car I got. I explicitly requested information regarding insurance coverage, and was given misinformation. I would not have minded had I been told "I don't know the answer to your question." (This was what was told to me after I sent several emails requesting the information). Instead I relied on the false misrepresentation of the salesman, and now have extra monthly expenses that I did not factor into (but would have liked to have been able to) for my new car. I specifically asked if I neede full coverage, or what type of coverage I would need for a lease because I was under the impression I needed complete coverage. (I am from a different state, and was unaware of how MD insurance coverage worked in regards to leasing). Instead of relying on myself, I stupidly listened to the salesman. I pulled up my account insurance information at his desk, showed him the coverage I had, and he said it would be fine. My issues are 1) I was given misinformation and then 2) when I gave the salesman a chance to remedy it, he was rude and lied to me about his supervisor. When I explained the situation to his real direct supervisorvia email, he ignored me. When I explained the situation to the dealership's general manager, he ignored me. I don't care about paying extra money for insurance. It's fine. The problem I have is that I was treated wonderfully, until I drove off the lot, with my contract signed. Then, it was as if I was never their customer.
