Ashley, we are sorry to hear about the frustrations you had when attempting to purchase a pre-owned truck from our dealership. We offer two methods to buy: Online remote deals and in-person. We had offered you the opportunity to move forward with a remote purchase, and you decided to decline and show up in person. Unfortunately, another customer showed up earlier in the morning on that same vehicle and was proceeding with the purchase when you showed up. Emily and Elijah did inform you of this policy when discussing the purchase with you. It has nothing to do with financing a vehicle, but the only way we can secure a pre-owned vehicle is if we process the paperwork for the deal remotely or in person. Emily did give you a call when the other customers arrived to test drive the truck, to let you know. When the other customers decided to purchase the truck while you were there, we understand that there were some expletives said to our team and directed towards those customers. That is not a situation we prefer to happen in our dealerships, and that is why we are direct and honest in explaining our policies and procedures around pre-owned vehicle purchases. In one of the text communications from the day prior, Emily sent you this message: “I cannot hide a whole F-150. We do not take deposits; however, I can keep you updated on the status of the truck.” The reply received was, “Take it to a local Walmart parking lot.” We clearly can’t do that for insurance and theft purposes. We are sorry that the purchase didn’t work out, and in pre-owned sales on vehicles in high demand, these situations can happen when multiple clients are interested in purchasing the same unique vehicle. I was told if I did not do the financing thru them that it could not be held. I was never offered another way to purchase the vehicle. Yes there were expletives and rightfully so the way you treated us. My wife and I both took a day off work and drove 3 hours each way to purchase a truck and were there earlier than we said we would be. Lies lies lies and shadiness! Virginia you have many options to buy cars I would never ever buy at Ourisman
