My Review of Pacific Porsche:
Went to Pacific Porsche, because it was near our home. Had a total multipule-personality experience there. The sales person (Kam) was very friendy and helpful. No pressure, allow me to set my own course for the test drive, and let me drive as long as I wanted.

When it came time to do the deal, we are handed to Carl their sales manager. He was a complete JERK!!! We made a very fair offer for the car we looked at (used Boxster). In stead of provideing a counter-offer, he started to yell and scream at my wife and I about how we did not "appreciate" the car! Then he pulled some strange numbers from a dealer auction and began to scream at us that he could sell the car at auction for more than what we offered. Lastly, he goes to his desk and comes back 10 minutes later saying that he had "check autotrader and cars.com" and he was "good" with the window price.

This was by far the worst car buying experience we ever had. Never had a sales guy, come in angry before we even started to deal. Carl not only refused to deal, he insulted my wife and I. Would never recommend anyone to deal with this man. Pacific Porsche needs to get their act together and hire a more professional sales manager!

My Review of Pacific Porsche:
I frequently visit Lexus, M-Benz, and Porsche dealerships. Among them, my experiences with Porsche service agents (Pacific Porsche) has never been great. The worst thing was the employees' attitudes (I mean the people at the service desk, not the technicians). When I tried to ask what the problems were with the cars and asked for recommendations, they did not want to take time to provide me with the clear explanation. They didn't seem to be so willing to listen to the customers. I understand that the employees. They might be the best in the industry, good enough to be hired by Porsche (one of the most prestigious auto-makers in the world), but such pride shouldn't turn into arrogance especially when they are dealing with the customers. It will only bring a negative impact to the company and diminish the image of Porsche (unless it is the corporate strategy of Porsche).

As a customer, I would like to ask Porsche to improve dealer service process. I think it will be one of the biggest challenges for Porsche to expand customer bases in the US.

My Review of Pacific Porsche:
Pacific Porsche has been servicing my Boxster since new (5 years). They have were very concientious about clearing up or documenting any warranty isues before the warranty expired. The car is always finished when promised. Their work is good and in 7 visits has required one return visit to correct an issue. I regard Dan Hanami as a friend and the entire staff treats me with warm and efficient courtesy.

My Review of Pacific Porsche:
Brought in new Turbo Cab with a question about engine idle. Dan Hanami the service manager was excellent and was Dominic (service writer) and Ruben (service tech). After putting the diagnostics ODBC II on the car which showed no abnormal conditions, the service tech took the time to take a test drive with me along a walled section of road, so he could identify the engine sound first hand. As it turned out the sound was normal for a 996 Turbo and the issue with engine idle was identified as the A/C compressor cycling on/off. The staff and tech were professional and checked the car over. They even topped off the oil (Mobil-1 0-40). Another plus to this LA area dealer is adequate parking. I have no affiliation with this dealer other than being satisfied with the service.
