Visited Pedersen Toyota to get a used car, and left a very happy guy! Even though I purchased a car that obviously wasn't going to be a money-maker for the dealership I still felt wanted there and was he very happy guy! Even though I purchased a car that obviously wasn't going to be a money-maker for the dealership I still felt wanted there and was helped to the best of their ability. I had spoken with Jeff Gipson over the phone, and although he couldn't be there the day I purchased the car his associate Mike Weise picked up right where Jeff had left off. Mike made sure I was taken care of during my time at the dealership. I admittedly didn't come very prepared to get a car, but he was patient and let me know everything I needed to do to get me off the lot that day. Even when my insurance company wasn't being very cooperative Mike was still checking in with me, and doing everything he could to get me going. I honestly had a great experience at the dealership, and especially with Mike. Great, down-to-earth guy who was honest with me the whole way through. Next time I get a car I will definitely be trying my best to do business with Pedersen Toyota, and hopefully Mike is there to make my experience as pleasant as it was this time. More
Alex, Ryan and Bo provided great customer service. Alex was willing to answer all of my questions regarding the vehicle and at my first visit he and Bo were committed to making the best deal possible. Upo was willing to answer all of my questions regarding the vehicle and at my first visit he and Bo were committed to making the best deal possible. Upon delivery of my vehicle I was impressed with Ryan's attention to detail. I would recommend this dealership. More
For all of the obsessive review-oriented shoppers like myself, especially when it comes to the bigger purchases, I wanted to give my thoughts for what it's worth (likely less than 2 cents :). To start, no myself, especially when it comes to the bigger purchases, I wanted to give my thoughts for what it's worth (likely less than 2 cents :). To start, not in my wildest dreams did I ever suspect that I would submit a positive review for a Car Dealership. Let's be honest, most folks would choose a dentist or doctor's appointment over the sparring and emotionally draining onslaught that accompanies car purchases at dealerships. So when I had done my research, read these sort of reviews and decided on a car...I began to put on my dealership armor and get ready for battle... What I encountered needed no armor but rather flip-flops and an umbrella drink. The atmosphere at Pedersen Toyota was low pressure with an incredibly helpful staff that let me walk out the door with no purchase so I could consider my options & unlike other dealerships I actually wanted to return. What was a challenging deal with a set of goals I wanted to achieve, my rep Mike Weiss and his colleagues did everything in their power to help achieve those goals and kept me in the loop via emails and calls throughout the process. This is the second car I've bought at Pedersen in 3 years, the first being equally pleasant though I had a suspicion the positive experience was an anomaly... Again, I never thought I would submit a positive review for a dealership let alone be brand loyal but after my last two car purchases that's where I find myself. -Dave More
I highly recommend Pedersen. We bought a 2013 Camry SE 4cyl sedan from Pedersen. Mike Gerrish of sales was well-informed, trustworthy, low key, professional and above all, knew when to back-off for a mom 4cyl sedan from Pedersen. Mike Gerrish of sales was well-informed, trustworthy, low key, professional and above all, knew when to back-off for a moment when we needed to formulate our next line of questions or just take a moment to review the options. Gerrish took the time to find out what we really were looking for and how we planned to use the car. Based on that information he was able to successfully guide us in the choice of a 4cyl engine versus a 6. This is my first new car in 11 years and what Gerrish said has proved true--the new 4 cyl is as good as the 6 was years ago. We used the USAA car buyer service--no hassle, they just accepted the price without quibbling. The experience was quick, easy and hassle free. I've used Pedersen before for two other new car purchases and have always used their service department. By the way, Loren Bersch in the service department is the guy to go to. Loren is the real deal--objective, accurate and keeps to his commitments. If you go with Pedersen they will also try to sell you accessories through Dan Rumsey, the Personalization/Accessories manager. Rumsey seemed "programmed," rushed and sometimes brusk, but stick with it; he can offer good guidance on what accessories are really necessary and which aren't. We bought the 18 inch clear nose guard--that's the only thing I think you really need. Ryan Burr was our paperwork guy. We didn't use financing, but still there is a raft of paperwork to do. Burr made it as easy as it could be and was willing to cut to the chase when he saw that we "got it" and no further explanation was necessary. Burr will explain how the extended warranty system works if you're interested--we bought up the 30,000 mile warranty to 100,000. They offer a very good discount on the extended warranty--basically their cost so it made this not only a good idea but valuable. Overall--Pedersen is doing a great job in Fort Collins. Go with Mike Gerrish in sales and Loren Bersch in service. More
After a relatively pleasurable experience with the sales department I had my deal cancelled and my deposit stolen by the general manager. Through screw ups on their end- Lost my deposit and car was "on th department I had my deal cancelled and my deposit stolen by the general manager. Through screw ups on their end- Lost my deposit and car was "on the shop" the weekend I had scheduled to fly out from San Diego to pick it up. And some issues on my end- Had to postpone due to work and I had a brief financial issue (4 days) And this all takes place over a two month period. Out of nowhere the GM/Owner threw an absolute temper tantrum mimicking that of a six year old girl. He gave me a 24 hour ultimatum. Mind you, this is with no prior issues. He demanded I get on a plane with the remainder of the deposit or he would cancel the deal and keep the portion of the deposit I had already made. It would have cost me over $900 in change fees, additional flights, lodging, etc since I had already bought and paid for a vacation in Florida that week. Never did he offer to split a portion with me by taking it out of the deal. I'll say I had never been more excited about a vehicle purchase and I've made well over a dozen. I've worked in the car business as a salesman and a manager and never had the experience of dealing with such scummy and gutless shysters. As of today he is keeping my deposit. One that he would only be entitled too if the deal unwound or I "cooled off". Neither is the case. I begged them to take the money. I guess he decided to take the money and the car. More
Absolutely horrible dealership, I am from NYC and they bullied me more here than they did in NY. Scare tactics, bullying and lies. Never shop here. bullied me more here than they did in NY. Scare tactics, bullying and lies. Never shop here. More

Never ever buy a car there. When they thought one dealer could not scam me into paying too much for my car they brought in reinforcements and I had two dealers in my face trying to talk the price up. I thou could not scam me into paying too much for my car they brought in reinforcements and I had two dealers in my face trying to talk the price up. I thought that was bad enough, but kind of expected when you go to a car dealer. The real mistake I made was including a trailer hitch for my car in the price. I negotiated for "a hitch with all of the wiring." They included three hours of labor with it seemed expensive, but reasonable. Once I purchased the car however, they tried to charge me an additional $270 for a connector and additional wiring. Total xxxxxxxx. Many many phone cals and emails later they were still asking for $140 and threatening to charge me at least $100 restocking fees for the hitch I ad agreed to buy. More

THIS IS THE WORST DEALER EVER! THEY WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF LIKE CRAZY! GO BUY YOUR VEHICLE ANYWHERE ELSE! They were friendly because all they saw were dollar signs, which isn't really friendly at all. OFF LIKE CRAZY! GO BUY YOUR VEHICLE ANYWHERE ELSE! They were friendly because all they saw were dollar signs, which isn't really friendly at all. They allowed me to test drive whatever I was interested in while telling lies through their teeth. They said they'd give me $2000 for my trade-in and cut me a deal of $6000 from $7254 on a truck. They said that at the price it would be around $140 a month. When we sat down to talk a deal, they offered a firm $100 for my trade-in, started at $300+ a month and then refused to go below $213 a month, and it took an hour of negotiation to get them down to $6250. Plus every time they were asked what the interest rate was, they eluded the question by saying they "don't know, the manager calculated it. I'll go ask him..." and then coming back with a whole new offer lower than the previous to distract from the interest rate questions. I calculated the rate they tried to sell me at online at home and it was an OUTRAGEOUS 22.5%!!! And I have good credit and the credit reports/score to prove it! They were trying to rip me off like crazy! They saw some young guy with a great job and thought they'd take full advantage and try to rip me off on the financing! They said the '97 truck I was interested in had no mechanical defects, was rated to haul 5200 lbs, and would easily haul my apartment in the back and in a trailer across the country. My mechanic said oil had leaked from either the head gasket or from the valve head cover, but couldn't tell which one would need replaced because they had power washed the top of the engine. My mechanic also said it was only rated to haul 4000lbs and that if I loaded it with my furniture and then also attached a trailer of furniture, I'd burn out the transmission, breaks, possibly the engine, and more before I got across the country. The dealer desperately argued that the mechanic was wrong, and then immediately tried to sell me another vehicle that was $13000 more! This dealer is HORRIBLE! More
