Went to look at the car I drove in Italy in 1971 walked out with a great deal on a Pop. We love our Fiat . Great mileage and lots of fun to drive. We had a great experience at the dealer. My advice to anyone buying a car is to take care of financing before you shop for a car!

"All of the Northern Californians look for a new fiat..."

All of the Northern Californians look for a new fiat please avoid Fremont Fiat like a plague. They are one of the worst dealerships I have EVER been to. I walked into the dealer maybe three weeks ago looking to maybe purchase the Abarth. First I talked to Nicole which was a very nice saleswoman but she was new so she couldn't negotiate with me. No problem, but of course I get Pete, the sales manager. Now this guy is the worst salesman EVER. I told him I really wanted an Abarth but I couldn't live with some of the options of the showroom floor model. I wanted the cloth seats instead of the leather because I live in 100 degree weather and it would be too hot. He belittles me by saying that I am the only one that will request this and that they don't make the cars this way. I told him I know for a FACT that Fiat makes cloth seats, he denies it. Then he says that if I want cloth seats he could "special order" it, which he says he has to go to a special fabricator. I asked flat out does that mean it would cost more, and he never responded, instead he dodged the question and continued on about other stuff of the car. I said I don't need auto climate control or a sunroof and he said all the cars come standard with it. I know for sure its a option but instead he continue to harass me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I personally feel that if you are going to buy ANY car it should be to your own specifications and your going to be living with it for at least a couple of years. I then asked about dealer mark ups. He said the price and I said do you happen to know when you guys might be reducing the price of the dealer markups. He said if you want the car you have to pay the price. I said I just don't feel like paying the price, and than he starts talking about everyone is buying the car and it will be sold out soon. I don't mind waiting a bit for a car but this guy was too much. What I truly recommend to all of the fans of FIAT USA in the Bay Area is go see Capital Fiat in San Jose, CA. They are THE nicest dealership around. I went in to see their cars and they were inviting, courteous, and EXTREMELY friendly. Go see Wendell. I didn't buy a car that day because they didn't have a car to my specifications but he just called back yesterday and told me an Abarth came in with EXACTLY everything I wanted. What more do you want out of customer service. I am back at where I live now and I can't come down to see the vehicle, but if I was free I would absolutely do it. Don't go to Fiat of Fremont. CAPITAL FIAT is the way to go.

"Obscene experience. Haggled again and again around..."

Obscene experience. Haggled again and again around financing, despite my clear understanding of what was available and honesty about what I could afford. Had to actually go through the pageantry of walking off the lot before we were able to work out a deal. Really? Avoid.

"First the car we were test driving ran out of gas and we..."

First the car we were test driving ran out of gas and we had to push it to the gas station. Second Rafael said he would give us a good deal if we bought today and because of this experience. Then he asked for $500.00 down to order the car before he even told us what the "good deal" was. When I said I wouldn't put any money down until I saw the deal, he basically told us to go ahead and come back some other time. I bought a vw.

"I am totally new to the whole FIAT experience but I knew..."

I am totally new to the whole FIAT experience but I knew I wanted a fun to drive economically sound car that didn't sacrifice features. I found that in my new FIAT. My salesperson Brian was not only well informed of the FIAT brand but was a member of the FIAT Club. His experience with FIAT and his suttle approach to selling made me feel very much part of FIAT family. If you're thinking about a new FIAT I highly recommend Fiat of Fremont!
