I visited specifically to finalize a lease buyout with funded financing already in hand from Chase. Despite my clear and repeated instructions that I was only there for a buyout, both the salesperson and the sales manager aggressively attempted to 'steer' me into a brand-new lease. It was insulting to have my explicit requests ignored in favor of their sales commissions. When they finally provided the buyout numbers, the greed was transparent: $999 Doc Fee: They are charging nearly $1,000 in 'processing' for what is essentially a 10-minute paperwork transaction. This is pure profit masked as an administrative necessity. $409 Government Fee: They misrepresented state fees by trying to force a new 4-year registration on me, ignoring the fact that I am eligible for a $4.50 NJ Plate Transfer. It is a shame that after years of loyalty, this dealership treats its neighbors like targets for fee-padding. I walked out and went to a competitor nearby who handled the plate transfer correctly and treated me with respect. If you value transparency and your time, stay away from Prestige Lexus of Ramsey."
