My Review Of Ralph Hayes Toyota Scion:
We recently bought two 2013 cars from Ralph Hayes Toyota in Anderson, SC and each time the same salesman, Stanley L. Hill, lied to us. First, I bought a Toyota Avalon Hybrid, and told Stan that I know that electric cars have batteries that go bad after so many years that cost thousands to replace, and inquired if the Avalon has that same issue? Stan said that the Avalon hybrid does not require any special treatment than any other regular car. Later, I found out that was so NOT true. There are two main batteries (large and small) in the Avalon and when they need to be replaced cost $3,000 and $250, respectively. I would have bought the car any way, but I guess Stan felt that he needed to lie to make the sale. The next car that we bought was a Toyota Camry, Stan told us that there was zero percent financing for the first year, but in fact lied again. There was a 4.65% during the first year and the whole term of the loan. When we called and inquired about it, we were told that we must have taken a dealer discount of $2,000, instead of the 0% interest – this was the first that we heard of it.
Bottom line, do your own research, independently of the sales person, and if they claim any special financing, ask them to them to show it to you in the contract.
