Great customer service reps, great mechanics and technicians… Unfortunately I have learned that Volvo, BMW, and Mercedes are the only three cars that don’t release any blueprints as to how to get a technicians… Unfortunately I have learned that Volvo, BMW, and Mercedes are the only three cars that don’t release any blueprints as to how to get at the electronics. I’d love to learn that this was not true but none of the mechanics near me could fix the technical problem I was having for that reason. The diagnostics for the technology in the car are not included in a service visit. It was very difficult in fact impossible to get an answer as to what the consequences might be if I didn’t fix the issue. The part cost more than $600 and I’m not sure if that included labor. I love the car but I also love my local mechanic who charges me about a quarter of what they charge at Volvo to do the same kind of service visit. Plus he’ll tell me what it needs and what it will cost and in the future. Frustrating, but the CS rep was kind and as helpful as he could be. More
