This was by far the worst car dealership experience in my life. Over the past 10 years I've purchased many brand new vehicles. I applied online for a program they were advertising to help those with damaged life. Over the past 10 years I've purchased many brand new vehicles. I applied online for a program they were advertising to help those with damaged credit, being as how I had a repo from a previous marriage. I was told by the guy who called me that I was pre-approved and everything was all ready to go, and I just needed to bring my ID and proof of income. I mentioned to him that I had to drive 100 miles to get there so I needed to be sure that it was approved and he promised me that I would leave the dealer with a vehicle. At first I was greeted politely, a nice sales guy showed me some vehicles and we sat down to do what I thought was paperwork. I then found out I was lied to, to lure me up there. No one had any knowledge of my previous credit app being approved and had me do another. And even though I had 7000 dollars to put down, the new car sales manager Shon came to me with an extremely bad attitude. He refused to acknowledge or even apologize for his employee initially lying to me. Being pregnant and needing a vehicle especially, this was NOT the kind of treatment I needed or deserved. After he refused to do anything for me, I started crying and rather than apologizing for both the lying and bad behavior, he just got up and walked away. Upon leaving the dealership, I called GM Corporate and filed a complaint. An investigation was opened and the Corp office attempted to call Shon. Eventually after a few days they finally got him on the phone, and he flat out lied to them and said everything I claimed wasn't true. I expressed to corporate and the dealer that I would like the logs of the recorded calls pulled so they can hear the lies of the initial person I spoke with, Derrick Williams and both stone walled me and wouldn't pull the conversation. I was later told by corporate that they can't make the dealer do anything and it was up to the dealer if they wanted to make things right, which I still haven't received a call. Hendricks Chevrolet claims to be the number 1 dealer in Georgia. For someone who claims to be number 1, they are full of liars and rude people. I would never set foot in this dealer again, even if it was for a free Corvette. A customer is a customer no matter how big or small, good credit or bad credit. If they can't handle helping those with bad credit, then THEY SHOULDN'T ADVERTISE IT! I've had better experiences on "dirt lots" Shame on you Hendricks and shame on Chevy for allowing their dealers to behave in such an unsavory manner. More
I went to Rick Hendricks Chevrolet this car dealership and it was the worst, first of I did not see the person I was support to see. They didn’t show me the car I was there to see. They lied and told me and it was the worst, first of I did not see the person I was support to see. They didn’t show me the car I was there to see. They lied and told me it was no longer there any more. Well, at first they me it was at their other dealer ship down the street. They screwed me out of a down payment. And the payment didn’t go towards car. And they said I only put down half down payment on the sale contract, in which, it don't make no sense. I traded in a car and later learned that my bank paid them for the car in full, and I have a balance from them on the trade-in. this car is way too much. I believe they did this because I am disable person . They ran my credit several times and this was very unnecessary on their part. They had already chosen their bank GM. They don't want you go nowhere else. They will keep you there all night, very in-consider. They did a lot of things that was not right. They are scammers and I am going to file a compliant and get a lawyer, because I even had my own check in which they did not accept. But I found out later they did accept these checks and they financial with this company. More
I got lied to so many times ... On a truck I was going to attempt to buy . I had talked to the sales people for couple of days and after getting told about a rebate and the truck being on site I wanted to attempt to buy . I had talked to the sales people for couple of days and after getting told about a rebate and the truck being on site I wanted to go see it so nite before I left .I called to confirm me coming in and that the truck was there ... So they said its here we can't wait to see you tomarrow.. Ok so my dad and I take off work to drive 2 hrs away and see this truck .. After a aggravating drive there we finally arrive to the dealership we walk in to be asked could we be helped and I told them to see the sales person that I had talked to but they transferred me to another guy so we sit probably 10 mins before he comes takes us to the office to check if truck was there .I was like is the truck not here on the lot he said he didn't know after 20 mins he found the truck in South Carolina yeah joke was on me .... He never let us talk to the sales lady I talked to nor had enough since to help ..he even asked to work out numbers on that truck that I haven't even seen not drove .. Even at that he finally said that the truck could no longer get rebated because of it had been titled to someone ... I got told it was a demo with 3500 miles and was to be sold as new with rebates ... Thanks for the long drive and sorry lies that I will always remember .... More
I drove from South Carolina to make a deal with Fernando. When we arrived at the dealership we were pushed to another salesman. He was pushy, rude, and just a plain jerk. We asked to speak to a manager When we arrived at the dealership we were pushed to another salesman. He was pushy, rude, and just a plain jerk. We asked to speak to a manager and the manager was no better. So we walked out. Leo the salesman followed us out of the front door running his mouth. A manager came out after us and he seemed liked he cared but he was no better than anyone else. After leaving there in a huff, I realized when I got home that I left my paycheck stubs, and other paperwork. I have been calling them for over 35 days trying to get them to fax it to me. Fernando my original sales rep told he faxed it, but apparently he did not because the fax machine is sitting in my home office. I call there 4 times a day and the girl that answers phone and apologizes. As I am writing this I have been sitting on hold 16 minutes and 09 seconds. This is absolute crap. I want my paperwork back, they have no need for it since I am not and would NEVER buy a car from them. More
After viewing a truck on their website, and checking it was there on the lot, we set out from Woodstock to Duluth. We had a scheduled test drive for 3:00pm confirming this with Brenda. Upon arrival none was there on the lot, we set out from Woodstock to Duluth. We had a scheduled test drive for 3:00pm confirming this with Brenda. Upon arrival none of the sales staff had a clue as to what was going on. We were told it was across the street at their "truck sales". Drove across the street to sales people standing around. When someone eventually did help us, he pretty much disappeard for 20 minutes. He pulled the truck up on his computer. The truck was in Kansas! Unbelievable that we had driven and wasted hours to test drive and purchase a truck that was not even there. After a call to the manager all he said was sorry and could he not show us another truck!!!! Total bait and switch going on. Will never return. More
Their commercial about people with 400 credit scores is a complete lie! They give you the song and dance just to lure you into the dealership and ask you for a cosigner.Don't waste your time at this place. I complete lie! Sadly I would never recommend this dealership. My buying experience wasn't too bad, it's the follow up after. I found some problems with my car as soon as I got home with it, we went directly back to the de experience wasn't too bad, it's the follow up after. I found some problems with my car as soon as I got home with it, we went directly back to the dealership and showed the sales manager Frank Brotherton the problems. He promised they would take care of everything no problem. I had a chunk out of a tire and a damaged wheel, a piece on my dash was coming unglued and I was missing my cargo net. (I bought a 2011 Malibu w/40K miles) They told me to bring it back on Monday and they'd take care of everything. Well Monday was a Holiday and after we got up there it was "oh I'm sorry the service dept is closed today, bring it back 1st thing tomorrow". My husband took it up there on Tuesday and sat there from 8:30-5:00!!!! He left with ONE new tire, NO new wheel and NO cargo net! They never once told him they could shuttle him to the mall or to get something eat, nothing. Frank Brotherton told my husband he was checking on the wheel thing, bear in mind I've now went over the 72 hours to return the car. We played phone tag with Frank for a couple of weeks, then my husband went in the hospital. I'm almost at my 30 days! By this time, I had emailed my sales associate, called Frank left several messages, AND emailed the General Manager; ho fowarded my email to Frank! Needless to say the 30 days passed, NOTHING. My husband took the car to get the first "free" oil change done. He sat there for 6 hours while they AGAIN "checked" the wheel thing and checked on the cargo net, NOTHING. I took my car back for my 2nd oil change 2/1/13, I sat there for 4 hours!!! The service person has the NERVE to tell me I NEED NEW TIRES! Well I let her know WHY I needed them. She informed me well 40k miles is a lot. NO IT ISN'T. They have worn unevenly because they put 1 brand new tire on and never fixed the wheel. I tol her my experience and she was going to call me back the following Monday or Tuesday, today is the 28th and I've heard NOTHING. I was sent a survey, told the truth, and because they said I need new tires I rec'd a follow up email witha 5% coupon (system generated not personal). I replied to that email with the same story I'm telling now, that led to a PHONE CALL trying to sell me a car!!!!!!!!!! I really wonder if Rick Hendricks has any clue as to how shabby some of his people are! I guess I will also copy THIS to the General Manager. FOR NOW DON'T BUY THERE and DON'T get the warranty. That's part 2, I bought the warranty that COVERED MY WHEELS AND TIRES!!!!!!!!! They are telling me it doesn't apply!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY??????????? More
Long Story Short: Wal-Mart on Black Friday has better service than this place. Business must be awesome for them. Most dealership that I have been to, unless it is a high end dealer (BMW, Infiniti, Ben service than this place. Business must be awesome for them. Most dealership that I have been to, unless it is a high end dealer (BMW, Infiniti, Benz, etc) , show interest in earning your business. That did not seem the case here. I read other reviews saying they were high pressure. I want to do business with someone who wants to make a deal happen. I actually like those dealerships as there is typically a little more motivation to make a deal happen and will get creative unlike other dealers that are what you see is what you get. Having a sales background, I enjoy the "Art of the sale" regardless what side you are on. Over the weekend, I located a vehicle that I was interested in and I requested more information from their website. 48 hours, I got no response. So I went back online and "made and offer". I also communicated that I would be in the area the following day and would like to look at the vehicle. The following day, I still had not received any response. Since I was close by, I just went to the dealer thinking that a sales person might be able to help me. I parked right in front of the building and noticed a sales guy walking back in the building and another standing in front on his cell phone off to the side. Neither acknowledged me so I just decided to "Browse" the lot. 15 minutes of just walking with no one insight except for Mr. Talksalot, I went back to my car, just stood there checking facebook on my phone for another minute or two. No one came out. I decided I would just leave since I did not even see the vehicle I was looking for. Apparently they did not want a sale. I really wish I could make the next part up. I am not even out of the lot and my phone rings. It is Rick Hendrick Chevrolet following up on my inquiry. (3 days later, really?) She then proceeded to ask me a bunch of standard sales qualifying questions rather than even acknowledge my inquiry. I told her I was interested in a specific vehicle and asked if she confirm if they had it. She told me she did not have an inventory list available (Really?). I then said that I was actually at the dealership and asked if she was there and then we could just talk in person. Apparently the dealership does not follow up. A Call Center does out of south Georgia does. (Really?) She asked if I would go back to the dealership and she will contact a manager and have someone out in 5 minutes. I pulled back into my parking spot in the front and got out and waited for another 10 minutes, no response. So I decided to leave (Did I mention that the sales guy was still on his phone). I gave them more than ample opportunities just to "respond" and help. I'm actually glad that I did not pursue it any further. If this is the "service" that you get prior to the sale, imagine how bad it would be after the sale. I get better service at big box stores. After looking at consistent negative reviews, and after my experience, it will have to snow at the equator before I would even go back or even suggest this dealership. More
Let me start by saying that we are from Michigan and were only helping our son (26) get his first car. When he got to the dealership for his appointment he was allowed to test drive the car. While he was sig only helping our son (26) get his first car. When he got to the dealership for his appointment he was allowed to test drive the car. While he was signing the paperwork another couple took the car for a test drive and were sold the car. So, the dealership told him that they had another car like he was looking for at another dealership. He agreed to come back and see it when it arrived. They took his trade in and gave him a rental. The car was suppose to arrive in a few days. They had my son sign all the papers and we were to be his co-signer. The papers were mail to us and after looking them over we saw a few errors and called to question the dealership. Just a reminder my son had not even seen the car yet. When we refused to sign the papers before he had seen the car they were outraged. So, we went looking for the same make and model here in Michigan. Figuring we could do the deal from here and drive it down to our son. We found a car with less miles on it for over $1000 less. When we talk to our son about this he went to the dealership and wanted the money he had given them down back. Not a small amount of cash but $2600. They then told him the car was now there and they would keep his money if he did not take the car. At this point new papers were sent to us and they had nothing sign sent back to them. Being out of state we really didn’t have any recourse but to let the deal go thru. The next day he was given a chance to see the car and noticed that the back bumper had damage. They said they would repair it and the car would be ready the next day. Finally, he gets his new car and drives off. This was over a month ago. He has not received any paperwork including his registration, plate NOTHING... Now, we in Michigan have received the payment coupon but still no paperwork. We call the dealership and ask about it a week ago. "Oh it is still sitting on our desk" we will take care of it and sent it out. We don’t want the registration and plate; that should be going to our son in Georgia. 3 more calls today and we are told that it is all straightened out. Guess we will have to wait and see. More
