I can not urge anyone enough to stay away from these guys, I bought a car from here and the experience of buying it from them was so bad that even though its a good car I get noxious looking at it and a guys, I bought a car from here and the experience of buying it from them was so bad that even though its a good car I get noxious looking at it and as a result will never by a toyota again. Across the board they are bad news. First the salesmen I had never acted like he wanted my business. Sure he ordered us a car (at a good price too) but he never acted like he gave a xxxx. First he told me that ordering a car would not be a big deal, then once he got my deposit of 1000 dollars he became the invisible man. For over three weeks I waited for a car and the only time I talked to him was when I called him to check on his progress, he never initiated contact with me until after the start of the fourth week.
Then the dealer told me that he could not find one exactly like I wanted (we each had a printout of all the options the car was to have). So I asked about post prod. sunroof installation just like toyota puts in and the dealer said 800. so I said ok get one without a sunroof and I'll get one put in since the sunroof was what was holding up the car. The next day a car was there. I went out to look at the car and in the middle of typical syracuse snow and wind the dealer wisked us around the car faster than a jackrabbit, the car, incidentally was parked about a foot and a half from the one beside it (funny that it wasn't inside where we could have been warmer and taken out time going over it). We asked for a printout on the cars features and were told by the dealer that he couldn't get us one since the car was on the lot. After waiting about 25 days now for a car at this point I said ok, but it still has everything that we wanted except the sunroof. The dealer replied "YES".
Before I knew it I was in the sales managers office, finally I would have my car ( I'm a part time teacher and a sub and I needed the car since car pooling was literally making me miss half the days I was offered). The salesmanager said once again reiterated that the car was everything I had wanted, but the sunroof, I said yes, after all thats what I was told by my salesmen. Once the paperwork was ALL filled out something happpened, which in light of all that happened since then I look at very suspicously now. The salesmanager said he recieved a message from the sunroof installation place his dealership uses to put in sunroofs so he would call them back while I was in his office to see what the guy wanted (very convienient). After getting off the phone he told me that my salesmen had misled me, a good sunroof would not be 800 but 1400 dollars. At this point I told him ok but then maybe I wouldn't get a sunroof further down the road. At this point I should have backed out but since I was nieve I didn't. The salesmanager said he was sorry and that if I ever wanted a sunroof he would lend me a rental car when it was done.
Next we left the dealership and told them we'd be back the next day to pick it up. When we did we asked the dealer about breaking in brand new cars ------to be continued in the days ahead More
