Dealership of Toyota cars should be revoked. Toyota deserves much better dealership. Up front...my experience was terrible because the dealership is untrustworthy...not because of the salesman. To lay the groundwork, I have a 2008 Tacoma that I really like. It is exactly what I wanted except for the fact I should have gotten 4-wheel drive. Over the past year or so, I considered upgrading to a new Tacoma with 4WD, but based on all the information I could find, my trade-in would have been about $19K and the typical Tacoma deal was running about $2.5K below MSRP. For me, I would have ended up with a $9K difference. I didn’t think 4WD was worth $9K. So, when I received a notice from Larry H. Miller Toyota that my Tacoma was worth $24K in cash or trade, I was a little surprised. I thought it might be a scam but since I received a follow-up email with similar information, I figured I’d check it out. Given that the offer specifically mentioned the value was for cash or trade, I decided the number had to be independent of buying a new vehicle or any deal related to a new vehicle. Also, I had added a $1200 cap to my track which probably wasn’t included in the estimate in the value your dealership had given me. Bottom line, I could have been looking at a $5K difference between the two vehicles. So, even though I was surprised, I figured at most, their estimate could only be off a small amount since you know my truck given prior maintenance and that you should be able to provide a good estimate. Unfortunately, it turned out Larry H. Miller dealership was trying to use standard car dealership tactics to get me in the door. When I showed up, despite the fact my vehicle is in nearly mint condition, I was told it was only worth $19K in trade only…cash value would be much lower. Doing the math, that’s a 20% reduction in estimates. If you add in the cap on the back, it’s more like Larry H. Miller missed by 25%. The reason I was given…the $24K is for a different Tacoma, not mine. Of course, I was a little confused since this is the only Tacoma I have and their dealership is familiar with it. However, their con artist company was more than generous in letting me know that with a $19K trade in, we’d only be $12.5K apart…not the $5K estimate I came up with. Of course a few days later I was told they could probably get the difference down to about $10K. Apparently I’m supposed to be incapable of noticing a bait and switch tactic. I could have understand if the dealership come back and said my truck was worth only $23 or $22.5 but it was obvious this was a scam to get me in the door. I don’t have time to be played. It is unfortunate that after all the bad publicity Toyota took a few years ago over their lack of trustworthiness and Toyota’s very public attempts to restore belief in the quality of the Toyota brand that this sort of thing still goes on. I can only conclude that either Toyota was only pretending to reform itself and reestablish corporate integrity, or that Larry H. Miller dealerships didn’t get the message. Either way, I doubt I’ll ever buy another Toyota. At the very least, it’s clear I’ll never buy one from Larry H. Miller Toyota. More

The staff were very helpful in decision making - they weren't trying to sell me the most expensive car on the lot, they were trying to sell me the right car for my lifestyle. I told my salesperson, Manny, that I wasn't ready to buy a car today, but he still spent over 3 hours test driving cars with me on a Sunday. They had several pre-owned vehicles on the lot and I tried a few Toyotas and mentioned that I'd like to check out a Ford Fusion, and they happened to have one on the lot for me to test drive (which saved me a trip to the Ford dealer since I didn't love the Fusion). I loved their focus on earning my business instead of trying to pressure me into buying a car. I was so impressed with the way they treated me at the dealership and I loved the car, so I came back on Tuesday to sign the paperwork. Manny went out of his way to help me return my rental car (on the other side of town) after signing paperwork. He came in on his day off to sign paperwork because it was better for my schedule. Shawn called my bank about my financing and actually got a me a lower rate than I had been pre-approved for. I love my new Camry, and when it comes time to buy another car I'm heading straight to Karl Malone Toyota! More

This was the first dealer I visited in my search for a used Audi A6. They had two Audi's in their back lots, one with major frontal damage and another that they had just received that had not been inspect used Audi A6. Bluebook value for this vehicle is around $18,000, I got it for significantly less and I am very happy about that. This is where the satisfaction ends. Upon filling out all the paperwork, I was told that they were putting new tires on it for me in the shop, and although I was pleased I thought it was rather odd. I asked to go into the shop only to find that a MASSIVE dent had been made behind the rear wheel on the drivers side. I received no explanation for this from my salesperson and never did. Upon testing my vehicle, they found that it needed new front CV joints. I would have expected them to order these immediately, this was not the case, however. They put it off for three days or so, and just the thought of my car behind left in the shop with such lousy mechanics frightened me. Once they finally sorted out the CV joints (one week), the car needed to have the huge dent repaired, and it was sent to a body shop where it spent almost another week. Once I got to the dealership and drove off the lot, I rolled up the window to find that the idiot that drove it to the body shop had rolled down the window with the mileage stat paper still glued on, leaving bits of glue and paper inside my door panel. The car was never detailed and was given to me with huge stains left on the carpet (luckily, I was able to get them out at a car wash) and glue residue on my window that I am still not able to get off after using tons of different cleaning products. Overall, you will deal with same car salespeople that you deal with everywhere. I was happy with the deal I got and I'm glad they replaced the CV joints for me, but the dent really turned the experience sour and I'm sure that had I not requested to see the car before leaving, they would have never told me about it.
