Car breakdown on vacation Our 2011 Ford overheated on Siesta Key. It was towed to Sarasota Ford on Monday. I explained to John Weschler in the Service Dept. that we had to Our 2011 Ford overheated on Siesta Key. It was towed to Sarasota Ford on Monday. I explained to John Weschler in the Service Dept. that we had to have the car ready to go by Friday at the latest so we could return home. He worked quickly to diagnose the problem. It was big unfortunately. He worked closely with the mechanic and returned the car on Thursday one day ahead of schedule. JW answered my questions and was courteous at all times. Thanks again JW. AWFUL SERVICE EXPERIENCE!! BRAND NEW TRUCK and we discovered a major water leak! It has been in service for 10 days and no one will return calls to update us on the prognosis. F BRAND NEW TRUCK and we discovered a major water leak! It has been in service for 10 days and no one will return calls to update us on the prognosis. Finally reached someone today after 12 calls in one day and they told us the advisor had been fired and they have no idea what is going on with our truck or what has been done to it! Absolutely unacceptable! Sarasota Ford, your staffing issues are not our problem and how unprofessional of your staff to try to excuse the lack of follow through and follow-up by telling us they fired the advisor! This experience has completely robbed us of the joy of buying the vehicle we have been working towards buying for a couple of years now. Furthermore, if the truck has sat outside in the rain, I have no doubt there is new water in it, which means it has been sitting outside with wet carpets, in the heat, probably mildewing and molding by now since there was already a mildew smell in it when we dropped it off. I will be taking this to the news and every social media outlet to inform the community of your business practices! UPDATE: Drove down to the dealership today to find someone in person. Finally spoke with the Service Manager who apologized for the terrible customer service and is assuring us he will make it right and personally evaluate our truck and get us answers. He assured us we will hear from him Monday. I will edit this post if the follow through happens and they address and fix the problem as well as replace the entire carpeting in the truck as offered and promised. I am holding off on the social media blasts for now. More

LIES and CHEATS I took my car in with the engine light on. I said it seemed to run rough, so maybe a spark plug was out. The service adviser read the engine codes usi I took my car in with the engine light on. I said it seemed to run rough, so maybe a spark plug was out. The service adviser read the engine codes using an OBD tool and told me they should replace the spark plugs (about $250) and do a full fluids flush and replace (about $800). He warned me that this MAY not resolve the engine light. I said fine. When I went to pick up the car the engine light was still on. I pulled around and went in to ask why. He told me that the plugs and fluids were just scheduled maintenance based on my mileage, and that they were UNRELATED to the engine light. He then shared with me that the engine light was due to a fuel rail malfunction, and if (!) I wanted that fixed they'd have to do more diagnostics. xxx DID I BRING IT THERE FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE??? I"ll never, ever, ever, bring my vehicle there, and will never advise anyone to take their car there. CROOKS. More
