I recently visited Bob Rohrman Schaumburg Ford for a routine oil change. No one enjoys going to get service on their car. I know I dread seeing the mileage reach the point for me to get an oil change, but this visit proved to be different even though I have been a customer there for years. Right when I entered the dealership I noticed my car was taken care of right away. The service team kept me informed on the progress of my car from the minute I dropped it off to the second I got it back. One thing that really stuck out this visit was the communication between me and the service team. They gave me a thorough, detailed explanation of my car and presented me with all options that I could pursue (not just the ones that would benefit them). I decided to look into buying another car. Like most people, I feel like a fish out of water in a car dealership. I usually do my research before I get there so I know exactly what I want. This time I was going in blind and definitely felt a little apprehensive about it. My fears quickly vanished after talking with the sales team. The camaraderie of the team made me feel like I was a person and not just another dollar sign. They informed me about ALL of their cars letting me experience what the dealership had to offer, not just what I was used to. I couldn’t believe how much I loved some of the cars I never thought I would like at all! At the end of the day, I was fit into a car that met all of my needs and caters to my lifestyle perfectly. I couldn’t have asked for a more suitable car and I got it without spending hours of my precious time researching! I have been to this dealership many times before but have never had an experience close to my recent visit. The collaborative efforts the sales and service team drove me to buy a car that I completely love and couldn’t be happier with. Schaumburg Ford has definitely changed for the better. I highly recommend giving this dealership a try! More
My mom and I went shopping for a used car for her. When we stopped at Schaumburg Ford, Peter was more than happy to help us find what we needed. Much to his credit, Peter read the situation perfectly, determining that my mom was quite nervous about finding a new (used) car. Peter made my mom feel right at home, never applying any heavy-handed techniques so commonly employed by the typical used-car salesperson. Despite my mom's waffling over which car she liked best, Peter remained incredibly patient with her. Peter made this sale possible. Thankfully, the rest of the Schaumburg Ford staff performed their jobs as needed, although Pat seemed a bit defensive at times (he did handle a minor mechanical issue flawlessly) and Mike didn't seem to take us seriously once I told him we needed to consult with my brother (who wasn't present) before we made a final decision. In the end, after we did consult with my brother, we did purchase a car from Schaumburg Ford and we would recommend this dealership to others who are looking to purchase a car. More
This was the second Ford place we looked at in a few weeks. We were just shopping for a new car but ended up leasing a new Ford Fusion from this dealership. We were Peter's 1st customers and this was our first new car we bought as a married couple. My husband was asked to cut Peter's tie for good luck, very entertaining. He was attentive and remembered our names right off the bat which is a plus in my book. He actually listened to what we wanted, asked questions, and was not pushy on the sale. The rest of the team (James and Sam) were very helpful and friendly. We went to several other dealerships (non Ford) but the experience was so-so. We felt like we were really taken care of at this place that we ended up getting a new car from them. We liked that fact that the Fusion was Motor Trend of the year. Sam did all he can to give us a great deal on our car:) We had a set price in mind and he got creative and they were able to get it down to what we were asking for:) The place was clean and up to date. They even gave us bottled water and they had a fresh popcorn machine in the building which was nice because we were there for a while (past dinner time). They weren't pushy and they allowed us to take our time in making our final decision. They didn't even mind that we ended up closing the place, but came out as happy customers. They cleaned up our car nicely and James was patient with us explaining how to use the features in the car, especially the bluetooth and sirus options:) Overall, great experience and we'd recommend this place if you're looking for a new Ford. They have a wider selection of cars on the lot. Ask for Peter and tell him Chris and Dinah referred you to him:) More
