It is too premature to indicate if I can refer your dealership. I am buying an american made car for the first time since 1973 and I feel that you are trying and have greatly improved your product. However, I found some areas of improvement that need to be addressed as it negated our customer experience. 1. Blaring music upon arrival to dealership is annoying & rude. We don't want to be welcomed by this loud music, it's almost as if you are catering to a much different crowd that your marketing efforts aspire; definitely a disconnect here. Complete turnoff! 2. Your telephone receptionists need to be trained better as they cannot provide good directions to the dealership. Frankly, it's not my problem how long they've been on the job or if they ever visited the location, they are the customer's point of contact. They need to be school on the basics such north/south/west/east. Also, land marks such as "acress the stree from McDonald's on the south side of Northlake would have been helpful. I spoke with two different receptionists and you wouldn't believe it. 3. Your phone system needs a quality check, you need to call the number once in awhile as the sales number I was transferred to is no longer in service. 4. If you want to compete with the luxury market you need to get quality coffee with real cream provided to the customers, anything less is unacceptable. 5. You have too many cars on display in the showroom and it makes it difficult to walk around especially for older people. 6. I will be experiencing the service department tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. 7. Peter was very patient and Rich did his best to explain things as I was surprised about the figures since it wasn't until we went into the finance office that the sales price for the lease was revealed. I think that we could have negotiated a better deal but after three hours we were spent; if that's your strategy it won't work again. Brenda was very pleasant and we are still waiting to hear her proposal, if's it's an improvement over our current carrier that offering Allstate will be a positive. 8. After a very disappointing and irritating visit to another GMC dealership in our area, we kept an appointment that we had made with Sam Nell to meet with the sales manager at Schumacher GMC. The prev another GMC dealership in our area, we kept an appointment that we had made with Sam Nell to meet with the sales manager at Schumacher GMC. The previous dealership had given us a quote on a new 2013 model which was in a color and with an interior that we did not particularly like, however the sales manager said they were giving us the best possible deal and that we were crazy to walk away from it. We felt so disgusted as we left that dealership. On their lot was a 2014 in a color and with features that I liked but they did not even discuss that with us. Their sales manager even tried to sell us a couple of used vehicles that were not close to what we were looking for (one even had water standing in the back seat). Schumacher's sales manager had Dennis Vaughan meet with us to discuss our wants and needs in regards to a new GMC Terrain. We explained to Dennis at Schumacher the bottom line for the 2013 we could get at the other dealership and asked him if they could match that price or do better on a new 2013. He told us that they did not have a 2013 in the color and features that I wanted but they did have a 2014 model in that color and with those options. They worked a deal very quickly and gave us the 2014 with all the features we wanted and some extras for the same price that the previous dealer had given us for the 2013. They found financing at a lower interest rate than our credit union had given us. They gave us rebates that the other dealership did not even mention. They even tried to find us insurance for less than our current company but was unable to match it. They truly worked hard to get us the most for our money. The business office stint when quickly and painlessly. After all was done, Dennis took us out and thoroughly went over all the features that our new Terrain had and demonstrated how to use them. He even got us set up with our On-Star account. He has since called to check out how we like the car and if he can do anything for us in regards to it. This was the most pleasant car buying experience my husband and I have ever had in our thirty three years of marriage. We would recommend Schumacher to anyone looking for a new or used car. More

Once we performed test drives with him and made up our minds as to what we wanted, Tom fou was thorough in showing and describing various cars to us. The vehicle was delivered according to the schedule he developed and the car was fully detailed and ready to go. Tom was very thorough in his demonstration of the various electronic options on the car before we drove away, and he followed up in a friendly professional manner a couple of days after we took delivery.
