"Best Dealership Experience"

I went to Sesi Mazda recently to help my mom search for a new car. She was gunshy about car dealerships as most of us are. Sesi proved us wrong. They were welcoming from the moment we walked in and took the time to show us all the options. They were extremely patient and helpful throughout the whole process. I could not have asked for a better experience for myself or my mother. Not only did they sell her a car, but they have earned my future business as well.

worse dealer ships for servicing your car, they can't do it from the first time and you have to waste you time over and over. Simply go some were else and save your time and effort.

Today I tried to get a quote on a door latch repair. The service desk rep quoted $490.00 to replace the door latches saying, that even this may not fix the problem. He never referred me to "real" mechanic who would really know how to repair it. All I got was his best guess. My original request was for the cost of the parts, which he refused to give unless I brought the car in. When I told him it was outside, he refused to come out and look at it. I'll never go back to this place.

Took my car there 3 weeks ago and asked them to check the brakes. They claimed that they checked the brakes and they were fine, and they charged me for alot of other incidentals---I picked up the car and complained, the manager called to see if I was satisfied, I told him that I was not. Although I complained I received no help whatsoever from the manager. The manager in fact tried to convince me that they thoroughly checked the brakes. Two weeks later I took my car to another dealer for a diiferent service issue. This dealership told me I needed brakes. Thanks to Sesi, I drove around for two weeks thinking I did not need brakes. And they charged me for the inspection. Not only are they inept, they could care less about safety. I am now convinced that they did not do anything they charged me for. Now I have to pay all over again. Avoid this dealership at all costs.

I recently purchased a car from this dealer, first using the internet to get a quote. Sesi provided me with the best quote up front, without having to do any haggling. They also did not call me 30 seconds (and many times later) after submitting a quote request and handled most communication (insofar was possible) by email rather than calling and calling. We were made aware of "extras" (extended warranty, etc.) that we could purchase prior to finalizing the sale, but were not at all pressured to add them to our bottom line. I must say that this was, hands down, the easiest, pressure-free car buying experience I've ever had. If you're in the market for a new Mazda, definitely consider Sesi - fortunately, for us, this was the closest Mazda dealer to our home!

"They promised me to finish the service on Friday morning..."

They promised me to finish the service on Friday morning before 4pm. I came at 4.15 and they said it was not finished yet so I had to come again Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon I came again, they told me they couldn't finish it until monday. I had a lot of things to do and I really hate such tardiness, and un-professional service. They also charged me extra $150 for installation after I bought the accessories I wanted them to install, prior to buying they told me it would only cost $80 for installation. Lastly, they are not friendly enough so don't wish for some small talks and they are NOT sorry enough for what they have done to me. They didn't even apologize. Imagine that! It is although in front of their service center there is a logo saying customer is most important blah blah my butt. They seemed to be so nice when you were about to purchase their car, but later they would show their true unprofessional color. NEVER request service or purchase car from SESI Mazda!

I bought a 2008 Ford Escape from Sesi Mazda. So far my experience has been pretty good. I would specifically like to commend Mr. Rick Perry, who assisited me with my purchase. He was really helpful in getting the needful done. He has also been very cooperative about servicing needs of my vehicle.

"Had my Mazda Speed 6 in at another dealer for a stalling..."

Had my Mazda Speed 6 in at another dealer for a stalling issue at idle. They could not fix it after 3 trys !! Went to Sesi and they said "No problem", gave me a loaner car and called me 5 hours later and told it was fixed. I did not believe them....well they fixed it and now they are my dealer, even though they are 25 miles away. Great service, nice people. You can't ask for more.

"Brought my Mazda in to be fixed, they didn't fix it and..."

Brought my Mazda in to be fixed, they didn't fix it and five months later it conks out and they tell me I need a new engine for $4,500. The problem was no different and they completely missed it. They offered nothing, would not negotiate anything and we completely unhelpful. I took the car to a second mechanic who carefully explained the problem and laid out our options some of which were much cheaper than the $4,500. I feel like I was scammed by them and I will never take my car back to them again.

I like dealing with Sesi in Ypsilanti. I have bought two Lincolns from Sesi and they are very friendly. I own an LS sedan and a Mark LT truck. The purchase experience was fine, and I have had very good service experiences with them as well. I scratched my LS a few years ago and had to have the rear quarter panel repainted, and the paint work wasn't perfect. That is the only reason I didn't rate them a "5" on quality of work. All other work I had done was warranty work and they did a great job with it.
