My experience with this dealership falls in line with other bad experiences and was horrible. I located a vehicle and decided to purchase from them. They will not honor the advertised price. They charged extra for their VIP convenience package on top of the advertised price.(Seems unlawful) Their website says that the price includes this VIP package and that tax, title, and documentation fee is extra. They refused to sell the car without the upcharge.(Seems unlawful) They also don't provide any documentation on how to utilize their VIP convenience service.(Seems fraudulent) I went ahead and purchased the vehicle anyway. Then in finance the finance manager did a horrible job on presenting my financing. They will lay out 3 options that include an extended warranty and GAP insurance. When you tell them you're not interested, they just can't believe why you wouldn't want an extended warranty. Every finance manager must go through the same training. They have all hit a bird and had to use their warranty to fix the grill and sensors on the front of their vehicle. I've been hearing it for years. He charged double what the rate is at a local credit union. He quickly skipped over the financing terms. If a finance manager does this, my advice is to slow down and read what they are presenting. If you must finance through this dealership, immediately refinance with your local credit union. More
I had a very negative experience this weekend (July 18, 2025) with Shottenkirk Toyota Weatherford. I purchased a used car at the dealership on July 18, 2025. I was presented with a paper with the drive- 2025) with Shottenkirk Toyota Weatherford. I purchased a used car at the dealership on July 18, 2025. I was presented with a paper with the drive-out cost of $27500 (including taxes and all fees) by the sales team. The finance manager (Justin Bateman) called me into his office and asked me how much I was going to put down (to which I said $2500). He presented me with a warranty plan, which I declined due to the high payment. I insisted that I wanted to finance $25000 only, to which he agreed but he said the warranty would be included in the $25000. He did not show me or give me any paper to see what I was financing, and told me that I would be financing the $25000 only. He rushed me through signing process through an electronic device where only "sign here" instructions were given. I was not allowed to see what I was signing. I trusted the fellow and signed. Lo and behold, when I got the printed copy of the loan, he deceptively financed $27,227.65 without me being aware of it and refused to fix it. I brought up the incident with the sales manager (James Judy) to fix this and I understood that he also was part of this scam. The indifference of the 2 so called managers at the establishment were absolutely shocking. I guess this kind of scams help pad their bonuses. I wonder how many people this dealership scams using this technique of using the electronic device that does not show what they are signing. The sales manager and finance manager are absolutely in the scam together and behave absolutely insulting and condescending manner. I am not sure if this is a scam approved by ownership. I am bringing this to the attention of everyone who goes to this dealership. I tried to be as detailed as possible to show how they scam people. If anyone makes a purchase through this dealership, make sure you see the hard copy of what you are signing. The only employee with some sort of honesty I felt was salesman J. Helmsley, but unfortunately he is a low man on the totem pole in the dealership who had no control of the situation. Extremely devious dealership.
