I got a flat tire while traveling in CA. I called the dealership to determine what to do to honor my tire purchase warranty from Shottenkirk. Communication was fairly good and I was told to bring the damaged tire all the way across country to have it verified as unfixable. I did that. I received a call from Shottenkirk several months later asking about the tire. I had to inform the person who called that I did not have the serial number of the tire because Shottenkirk had the tire. She then hung up and began tracking down information from a coworker. I called back and did not receive a call back stating the information had been found. I still don't have reimbursement for the ruined tire. Most staff were polite but staff's miscommunication in house was the cause for my lower rating. More

I left my vehicle for an oil change and tire rotation, leaving my phone number of course, and stating I would pick it up in about 2 hours. I paid the amount I was told, then looked over the paperwork when I got home. There was a miscellaneous charge with no explanation, which should not happen. Then there was a page saying my battery was corroded and needed immediate replacement! This was never mentioned to me over the phone or while I was there. Then I checked the battery myself and it showed full charge and no sign of corrosion. Not sure I will continue to bring my vehicle there for service. More

No VIP in VIP deal Decided to try the service department because they have a "VIP" program with my employer. I called and requested an oil change. The person scheduling it stated "ok, an oil change & tire rotation". I clarified that I was only asking for an oil change - unless the tire rotations was included in the same price and was assured it was. They called to tell me that I had not paid enough - they were charging me for the tire rotation. While on the phone, they did not provide any of the details of the inspection. When I asked upon scheduling, I had let them know it was going to need brake work and I would like to get it all done at once. They had also found a filter needing replacement and did nothing with it. The VIP program also included a car wash - this was never done. When I expressed my concerns to the staff, they did not even acknowledge the issues & seemed too busy to care. I called in later that night to express my concerns again. This person at least sounded nice on the phone. She assured me the manager would contact me the next day. It has now been nearly 3 weeks and nothing. Their customer service is non-existent and ethics highly questionable. No "VIP" program will ever get me back in there again. More
