Response to the "wrecked car with a bullet hole review" Interesting response to my review. Bought the car in 2014, if that is "several years ago." Their response doesn't mention the aftermarket front end More

I was going from memory on the time. I remember my brother worked with you and he hasn't worked here since 2014. Sorry for overstating. I remember you being satisfied with what we worked out and thought you were happy with our help. We were not legally required to do anything the first time we helped you so I don't understand why you thought we wouldn't have had sympathy this time also. I understand you are upset but do not feel we did anything wrong. In fact, I think we did more than most dealers would have. Are you sure the hole that was fixed two years ago was the cause of your recent engine problems? I understand you are mad about the situation but feel you are unfairly blaming us for it. I feel bad you are mad at us but our conscience is clear.

Do not buy from them I just wouldn't buy a car from this dealer. Do your homework and read the other reviews. I wish I would have read them before buying. More

We don't know who this is or why they are unhappy with us. We encourage you also to do your homework knowing part of that is reading these reviews. Unlike many car dealers, we do not pay a review service to generate positive reviews for us to minimize the impact of the negative ones. And there are bound to be negative ones, even though (in our opinion) we try to make everyone happy. We do respond to these reviews though to present our point of view, hoping that prospective customers understand that it is usually the really angry or frustrated ones that make sure to post negative reviews. We know we cannot make everyone happy, obviously, but we conscientiously try. Come see for yourself and form your own opinion.

We are sorry to hear about this. When he decided to keep the car several years ago he was happy with the concessions we voluntarily made and crossed his fingers it would be OK. We didn't know about the damage as the repair was done well enough that we didn't notice it in our inspection. It has been several years since he bought but we still wish he would have let us know about the blown engine. We might have been able to help resolve things. We feel sorry he is angry about it. It was a bad situation finding out about the hole. We thought it had been resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

We are sorry if there was a misunderstanding here. We are a no pressure sales environment. We do not negotiate our sales prices very much if at all and some people are disappointed with that. I can't find James anywhere as a previous customer. Being dealt with dishonestly and the mechanical issue he mentioned that we didn't want to fix are both fabricated. I don't remember James, but if he shopped us and was not happy with his experience I'm sorry. We don't put pressure on our customers but we don't want them to feel neglected either.

We feel bad that Christy feels neglected. In retrospect, we wish we would have responded better to her requests after the sale. It is hard to tell someone how much the car they just bought is now worth as a trade-in. When they just bought a car, and a month later want to bring it back, It is a hard situation and usually leads to frustration. Christy called up and told Corky what she wanted. Which was a bigger sport utility, but with comparable MPG to the Hybrid she had just bought while keeping the same payment with no money down. She wanted to trade in the car she had just bought, into which she had actually rolled considerable negative equity from her previous trade-in, that she had also just bought. Again, with no money down and keeping the same payment. We simply could not figure out a way to do it. It is impossible. She was not happy when Corky explained the situation and we thought she had changed her mind when we didn't hear back from her. We did not mean to neglect her and feel bad that she thinks that we did. Christy bought a car from us and was really happy about the whole experience. Even in this negative review she points out we probably have the most competitive prices in the valley and that we are very "nice". Although now she thinks we only pretend to be nice when it is convenient for us. We wish that all of our customers could be happy with us forever. We try. But sometimes it just doesn't work out.

We are sorry this customer is so unhappy. Her description of events is misleading and deserves a response. She visited our dealership three separate times to see this car before she decided to buy it. She loved it specifically for all the modifications done by the previous owner which included after market body molding and the flat white paint job. It was a very cool looking car. On her first visit we gave her the Carfax report which showed a previous accident and then specifically pointed out all the modifications the previous owner had done. Those modifications were the reason why she liked it so much. She came three different times to check it out before she bought it. It is just disingenuous to say she didn't know about the previous accident or all the modifications before she choose to buy it. So why is she so upset? When she came back the forth time to resign a document and pay her down payment she damaged the front of the car hitting the curb in front of our dealership. We heard it and watched her do it. Then she came inside and told us there was existing damage to her car she didn't see before she bought it. She insisted that she had not done it even after we told her we watched her hit the curb. We took here out and showed her the scuff on the curb and the flecks of fiberglass and paint on the ground. She was so adamant that she didn't do it and created such a scene we agreed to pay for half of the repair. Since then she has changed from being a happy customer to the one who wrote this review. We are sorry that she is so unhappy but do not feel like we have done anything wrong and simply could not capitulate to her threats. Her review is retribution for not getting what she wanted. She wanted us to pay for 100% of the repairs for the damage she did to her car after she bought it. When we refused she wanted to simply return it, mistakenly thinking that was her right. She is angry because she threw such a fit and still didn't get her way.
