My Review of Sons Acura:
After visiting car dealers for a little over 2 months all around Atlanta, I was extremely skeptical of car dealers in general. I had been through some interesting ordeals from some very reputable dealers. One other dealer was about to sell me a certified MDX, when luckily my wife noticed that the PAINT DIDN'T MATCH on two of the doors!!! I didn't trust ANY dealer. I corresponded to Donna at Sons about a particular vehicle, and she claimed just like everyone else that I would have a good experience at their dealership. Donna's promise was different than the other dealers because it was the only one that was ACTUALLY TRUE. I can't say enough good things about my experience. When I called Al to tell him I was stopping by (just for a quick look), he gave me directions and asked what kind of car I was driving. I told him I wasn't far away, and when I pulled onto the lot he was outside the store waiting for me. He was well spoken, polite, knowledgable and most importantly completely respectful of me as a customer, and any questions or concerns I had. While looking at the car, I was very honest with what my best offer would be, with fear that it would be too low. I basically told him this so I could find out if it was even worth continuing to look at this car, or just move on to a lesser car. We traded prices ONCE..yes ONCE, while standing in the parking lot, and as it turned out that was the ONLY negotiating I had to endure. Sons was great with the price they gave me. From the moment I pulled in to the time I drove the car off the lot several days later, I never felt pressured with these people. It was fantastic. After discussing "what if" prices, SONS allowed me to drive the car overnight. Anything I needed or requested about the car (such as the SONS maintenance records on the car) were immediately produced...something I had struggled with at some of the dealerships I'd been to. I met Reggie (Manager) during my visits to the dealership, and I found him to be friendly, very helpful in getting anything I needed, and true to his word. I told him how nice it was to have such a different experience from the other dealerships and he thanked me and stated simply "We don't believe in pressuring anybody around here."
I researched on my own and learned about the maintenance that was done on the vehicle by the previous owner, and in short, we got a GREAT GREAT MDX at a GREAT price and I am absolutely pleased with the whole deal. That is how you SHOULD feel when you buy a car. I was 99% complete with a transaction at a different dealer about a month before this, and I remember that sinking feeling of wondering whether I was getting taken. Fortunately for me, I broke the deal off and later found Sons Acura. I would absolutely buy another car from Sons.
