Fantastic experience I was shopping for a SUV. When I walked in, Mike immediately came to help. He introduced everything in details and helped test drive the car. He tried I was shopping for a SUV. Worst Service Dept Ever! I took my Sienna van in to get a key made. While in their "secure" service area, it was hit by a truck delivering parts. The damage to the rear (smashed out the window and body damage) would require work done at the body shop where it was estimated to be tied up for about a week. I was getting ready to move my daughter to college and needed the van to get the job done. They offered to get me a rental car but claimed they were unable to find anything big enough (van or SUV) comparable to my damaged car because everyone else must have been moving kids around and there were none to be found. I requested that they lend me one off of their lot as the damage was their fault. They refused. Then, the Service Manager had the nerve to tell me that dealing with this was "not worth the $20 he would have made on making me a key." His attitude was awful. He essentially told me it was my problem and if I didn't want to take the small rental car, tough luck. When I got my van back, it still had broken glass all over the inside. They didn't even vacuum it out! They never called back to advise me of progress on the repair. I had to keep on top of them. Stay away if you want to be treated with respect. More

Horrible, horrible service department. South Hills Toyota has a horrible, horrible service department and service manager. I always serviced my hybrid there and had no issues until the AB South Hills Toyota has a horrible, horrible service department and service manager. I always serviced my hybrid there and had no issues until the ABS light came on. (Look up Toyota ABS issues...huge recall for some cars) They quoted me $5500 to replace the ABS unit, which was outrageous and more than I could afford, so I ordered the brand new Toyota parts myself (for half as much) from another dealer and took the car a Toyota certified mechanic to have the easily accessible and replaceable unit removed and re-installed. When I returned the car to them to have the brakes calibrated, they refused to work on it and claimed the Toyota certified mechanic that did the work damaged something. They literally told me to come pick up the car and they never wanted to see it again. When I spoke to Scott, the service manager, he said that if I had approved the original $5500 quote, none of this would have happened, like he was teaching me some kind of lesson. I offered to pay for up to 10 hours of labor to get it fixed ($1000), but Scott said no. He did not want his mechanics spending any more time on it. Three things: 1. The service department was vindictive because I did not purchase the parts from them. 2. There may be some kind of 50/50 quota in the service department to ensure that you pay as much on parts as you do on labor. If that is true, my service request did not bring in enough money, even with an authorization for up to $1000 in labor, so they simply turned it away. 3. It is possible that their technicians don't have the skill needed to calibrate/troubleshoot an ABS unit, or that the technicians there are simply too lazy to figure it out. I'm sure this negative review will generate some condescending response from this dealer. Whatever they say, at the end of the day they still refused to service a Toyota. Do you really want to give your business to that kind of dealer? More

You'd better be ready to make a deal the day you walk in I've been here twice to test drive used cars (once in 2014, and just the other day), both times worked with the same salesman, both times treated like I've been here twice to test drive used cars (once in 2014, and just the other day), both times worked with the same salesman, both times treated like I was totally wasting his time because I was just test driving and trying to make a decision, rather than ready to buy the car right then and there. He even said "I guess I can go ride around with you so you can go buy it from another dealership." What? There is nothing wrong with wanting to test drive multiple cars and sleep on it before purchasing. Buying a car for most people is a big life decision. However Don goes out of his way to make you feel small as if you are wasting his time if you are up front with him about not being ready to buy it that same day. I've never had this problem with other salesmen and dealerships. They were not overwhelmed with customers when I arrived so it wasn't that either. I'll never set foot in this place again. I was considering saving money on an older model vs a newer model with new features, but Don made that decision very easy. So yes, I will be buying from another dealership. More

They do right by their customers My wife and I shopped around for a couple months for a new AWD SUV and after looking at Nissan, Honda, Mazda, and others, the Highlander stood out. We My wife and I shopped around for a couple months for a new AWD SUV and after looking at Nissan, Honda, Mazda, and others, the Highlander stood out. We visited 2 separate times and worked with Shelby, Mike, and the Sales Manager Brian. All were low pressure, high service. They answered our questions, helped advise us of the differences between the Highlander models, and helped us make the right decision. When we picked up the vehicle we were very pleased but had an issue where we thought an option was included and they did not. They researched our email exchanges and called and rectified the situation immediately. I never measure a person or company based on the mistakes they face but the action taken when they do. Brian and his team measure off the charts in my book. They did the right thing and they earned a customer for life based on both the quality of their product and their top notch service. I highly recommend working with the South Hills Toyota team. More

Customer service all time low This is the worse customer service I have ever recieved. Two weeks ago my car wouldn't start. I called the dealership to try and bring my vehicle i This is the worse customer service I have ever recieved. Two weeks ago my car wouldn't start. I called the dealership to try and bring my vehicle in for them to look at it as I had to jump my car in order to drive. They could not get me in and had to go 2 days without a vehicle. Finally, the car went in for diagnostics and they replaced the battery. Mind you my car is 2 years old but jas 45k miles and warranty expires at 35k. After I pick up the car and go home, I realize my inspection is due at the end of the month...which is next week. No one informed me of my inspection due date so I had to call to make another appointment for my car. Fast forward to yesterday, I dropped my car off and went to pick it up. After driving 5 ft away I realize a good 6 in crack in my windshield that was NOT present when I dropped it off 5 hours earlier. I turned around and went back to service. The service guy took a photo and said he had to email it to his boss and they would get back to me. I called 3 times today, left a voice message and spoke with the service lady and still at 5pm today I never received a call back from the service manager so I went back to the dealership to speak to him in person since I was not worthy of a call back. He told me there was a small crack in my windshield when I brought it and they will not replace my windshield. I am 100% certain there was no crack when bringing the car in and even if there was, my car passed inspection and no one informed me upon arrival to pickup my vehicle that they found a crack. Never returning to this dealership again and considering trading my car in. Do NOT go to this location. More

Not only did the dealership mount the wrong tires (cheaper than the ones I ordered), but it took them five hours to complete the service. The service advisor informed me that the balancing machine was calibrated improperly and they were attempting to correct it and this was the source of my delay. After finally receiving my vehicle back I noticed the wrong tires were installed and brought this to the service managers attention. He informed me they in fact did not do anything wrong but was willing to reimburse me the cost of one tire plus mounting and balancing (which, 6 weeks later I still have not received). Now I cannot even get a call back from the service manager or the customer service manager. But wait! There's more! Upon driving my vehicle I noticed it pulled drastically to the right so I scheduled service with a separate dealership (I won't bring any vehicles back to this place if they paid me to). $200 later at a different dealership and the issues are finally resolved. The geniuses at South Hills forgot to remove the old weights from my wheels when balancing and misaligned the vehicle. I will never bring any vehicle to this dealership or any of its affiliates and I urge you to do the same. Not only are they utterly incompetent when it comes to seadvice but they do not care to alleviate their mistakes with their customers. More
