My DEF system has an error code so I take it to the dealer. They tell me it is a $2,600 repair. The part online (original OEM) was less than $400. The work was completed in less than 3.0 hours. Even at dealer. They tell me it is a $2,600 repair. The part online (original OEM) was less than $400. The work was completed in less than 3.0 hours. Even at $200/hr for shop time, that is still just $1,000+ tax. Regardless, after I get the truck home, I noticed the DEF was only filled to 1/4 of a tank! It is $10 RETAIL to fill the DEF tank. I called and texted the service department and a gentlemen said he would take care of the oversight. I texted the same guy a second time inquiring as to when and how the DEF might be filled (since I charged 250% over the cost for the work) and the previously "nice guy" never replied. I will not return to this dealer, in fact, I will drive to the Southside or Richmond before going back. Poor service. Poor communication. No perks. Minimum effort to win a customer. I guess that is how some businesses are run. Sad. More
