My husband and I purchased our Explorer from Southern Ford and had a great experience. This summer we experienced issues with the monitor/display screen in the vehicle. I took my vehicle in 3 times. The first time it was identified that it was a software update issue. They updated it, but found out later that day the update didn't take and I continued to have issues. The second time, they kept the vehicle all day but discovered that a part needed to be replaced and that was preventing the system from updating. During the second visit, I asked for the center consult cup holder to be fixed when the new part comes as it had fallen through prior to the first visit. The 3 visit, the software was updated and I received the typical call that my vehicle was ready. When I arrived, I got the keys to the vehicle and noticed the center consule cup holder wasn't fixed. I returned to ask about it and was told they could fix it as there was a piece broken. No one updated me on that or asked if I wanted it fixed. I told them I wanted it fixed. At that time, I also reviewed my receipt with the technicians note on it. It stated " Looks like something was shoved into cupholder on center console front one broken and some scratches. Send Tmessage before repair". We've had this vehicle for 11 months now and only put our water bottles in the cup hold. So, instead of calling to find out what happened and if we want it repaired, the "assumed" we purposely shoved something in there to break it, because "it's made of strong material" and wouldn't just break. Well, some things can have faulty pieces that may break. My husband and I are overall very upset and disappointed. Our last service was July 26th and we have yet to heat about the center console piece that was supposed to be ordered for repair. We are due for an oil change and this repair. As of right now, I'm not recommending any services there until I see how our next service is. We are only going back at this point because we purchased a warranty and added protection on the car for a certain amount of miles. More
