I scheduled an oil change and added diagnostic because when starting my car it squeaks for a few minutes. It sounds like a belt. I explained this in detail when making my appointment at 8:45 am. So I took when starting my car it squeaks for a few minutes. It sounds like a belt. I explained this in detail when making my appointment at 8:45 am. So I took it there and after 7 hours and calling twice for updates I got told there is nothing wrong with my car it just needs new brakes and the sound is specifically my brakes. There is no issue with any belt. I got a quote for brakes front and back and brake fluid flush. I called back because I knew it was not my brakes. My car has 80k miles so yes it could use brakes but I sent it in for the belt squeaking sound. So I called back and asked if I could send in a video of the sound. Shortly after I sent that in I got an update in text with a link and now there are 3 more items added. Now a cooling pump system water pump, idler pulley and belt, and coolant flush is needed. I just am not understanding how a full diagnostic was done and the only thing needed was brakes but now I send a video in and things are added to the list. So was it ever checked prior to the video or not? STILL no phone call 4 days later regarding updates after video was sent in just a text link with added items. TERRIBLE/ NO communication. More
