williamsveleta6 DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SPRINGHILL TOYOTA. My family have been driving Toyotas for 40 years. Currently there are 10 (ten) Toyotas between my siblings and I; most of which were purchased from Springhill Toyota. There will be 2 additional Toyota purchases this week, one by me and one by my eldest sister. However, now based on the unscrupulous behavior of James Lambert during the purchase of my 83 year old mother's Highlander I will never, and I have advised my family and friends not to do business with Springhill Toyota again! The facts are: James Lambert took advantage of my 83 year-old mother. As a start, I am filing a complaint with Toyota Corporation, the Better Business Bureau and all other relevant/appropriate agencies. The deal was complete except financing. I had to leave to meet a client. I asked the salesperson, Mr. Ryan Quinn, to not allow the Finance person to add GAP Insurance, a service contract or extended warranties to my mother's contract. Again she is 83 years old and those protections are unnecessary, and although in her name, my siblings and I am paying for her car. When I returned to the dealership Mr. James Lambert Jr., Finance Manager had added GAP insurance. I instructed him to remove it and I left out of the office. What happens next is, egregious, dishonest, deceitful. This is in my opinion attempted abuse and exploitation of an elderly person. In simple terms I consider Mr. James Lambert a crook. His actions were deliberate. When we got to mother's home I asked for the finance paperwork. I was outraged. He added an extended warranty, and a maintenance plan. He combined them in one $4,200 total and called in and extended warranty; trying to conceal the fact that $1,200 of that $4,200 total was a maintenance contract and Mr. Lambert also sold her a Road Hazard Plan for $500. The purchase came with 4 years of complimentary Oil changes Tire rotations 24-Hour Roadside Assistance Rental Assistance which Springhill Toytoa is referring to as a dealership special. The purchase also came with Toyoguard Platinum from the factory which covers the same services. Therefore, my mother's vehicle was already covered and the special isn't a special at all. He sold her coverages for services she already had. Springhill Toyota should be ashamed. How many more customers fell victim to these deceitful practices in finance. MR. LAMBERT KNEW HE WAS DECEIVING HER. HE KNEW IT WAS WRONG. HE TOLD MY MOTHER TO NOT SHOW ANYBODY HER PAPERWORK. HE SHOULD BE REPRIMANDED. In the Finance office the conversations are recorded. Therefore every statement I have made here is verifiable. Veleta Woods I can be contacted via email at williamsveleta6@gmail,com RYAN QUINN - Salesperson. Mr. Quinn and I agreed to 2 detailing services on that vehicle. We wrote it in. However, when he brought the paperwork out the statement was typed carwash/vacuum. The detailing was removed yet he did not bring it to my attention I had to ask why. He stated it couldn't be handwritten it had to be typed. Vacuum was not on the handwritten paperwork. I have never been so disappointed and outraged by a dealer. My family and friends will continue to purchase Toyotas but NEVER from Springhill Toyota

In your absence, your mother completed the finance process, a crucial part of which is a walkthrough of our full suite of services that are offered to all customers. When you later brought your concerns to the attention of our team, we re-contracted according to your preferences. Mr. Ricardy you were misinformed. This contract was done several times. When I returned from my appointment I instructed Mr. Lambert to remove the GAP insurance and not to add any optional services or plans.. That was the first time he re-contracted. I left the office leaving her to sign the revised contract which when I left out had NO optional services. I did not expect him to be an unscrupulous businessman, but unscrupulous is an understatement. The fact that he knowingly and willingly attempted to deceive he is obvious. It is apparent because his statement to her was "Do Not show anybody your paperwork". My mom showed me the contract once we got home. My family and I were outraged. I had to drive her back to the dealership in a storm. It was at that point he revised the contract. It's a disgrace for the Springhill Toyota and Toyota Corporation. As General Manager it is your job to provide a reasonable explanation for Mr. Lambert, the Finance Manager's actions. However, there is no reasonable explanation. A reasonable person could consider his actions criminal; specifically attempted theft by deception. I will be glad to speak with you. The elderly fall victim to fraud and deceit every day. I did not expect Springhill Toyota to victimize an 83 year-old woman.
