The service department lied daily telling me that my jeep was being worked on and that I could possibly have it later that day if not early the next day. I was told this everytime I called only to find out on day # 15 that the car hadn't even been in a bay let alone had any work done to it. The service department is always under staffed and they constantly lied on a daily bases. I have an extended warranty with Chrysler and this is the only dealer around. I think they put warranty vehicles on the back burner The last time I had my car serviced I didn't get it back for 6 weeks. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Lies Lies and then more lies is what you will receive from this company More
In the past few years I have purchased numerous Ford F150 trucks from this dealership. Always get great service, I highly recommend them to anyone in the county. Worst service department ever!!! I've never had a certified dealership tell me they don't know how to fix my check engine light after they already did $500 worth of work on it. They told me it was o certified dealership tell me they don't know how to fix my check engine light after they already did $500 worth of work on it. They told me it was one thing, I paid to get it done, it was never properly fixed, then they said they didn't know what the problem was and that I personally could go to an auto part store and check out a few different fixes. This is after they told me what "they knew what the problem was" and that I paid to have them NOT to fix it. After writing the general manager he deferred me to the part manager who I already talked to and could not get anything resolved. I spent in all $4,000 at this dealership and got treated like crap. Seriously how does a certified dealership tell you they don't know how to fix your truck. These guys don't know a dodge neon from a Cadillac. Save your money, see west side auto. More
Bought a brand new truck with an extended warranty and service plan from Groove, but live in Steamboat Springs. Had transmission problems with the truck from day one. SB Motors never checked the transmiss service plan from Groove, but live in Steamboat Springs. Had transmission problems with the truck from day one. SB Motors never checked the transmission they always said there was an update available, would do that and hand it back. We drive our truck mostly hiway miles and took it in for service at 5k, almost 13k, and 20k. Each time we complained about the transmission. At 23,700 the 4wd went out. We brought it in and told them we were tired of the transmission issues we were still having and wanted it replaced while it was there. First, they never called us to discuss what was going on the first day. Never called us the second day. When I called they said they would have to keep it they were waiting for a part and by the way your front tires are bald. I asked how that could happen if they were supposed to be rotating and servicing them with each appointment. Immediately, they said he it's your allignment we don't check that. Mind you, I have 18 inch beefy tires. Not easy to wear tread. When I finally went to pick up my car, they had done yet another update on the transmission, no repairs. I asked again about them rotating and noting wear. I explained when I take my other cars in to be repaired I always get a checklist with each service advising about wear etc. There is no way that the tires could have worn between services without there being prior wear that would have been noticed. I asked them to show me paperwork showing the rotations and notes. The service manager sarcastically told me that they didn't even rotate at the 20K service. I asked why they wouldn't rotate tires with 7k miles between the service. His answer, we don't do anything we don't get paid for and Ford doesn't recommend at 20k. Hello...... 7k between service, recommended service 7500 miles, and you don't fully service? Now, because of their negligence I am paying 1500.00 to replace tires. When I drove my truck home the transmission sounded as if it was going to fall out. It slipped over 7 times in a 4 mile drive. After speaking to several people, I now find that Steamboat Motors is knows for poor attention to detail, a very rude service manager and poor mechanical apptitude. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. Recommendations have been to drive to Columbine in Rifle because Craig Ford is just as bad if not worse. More
