In general all of the people that I have dealt with at Subaru Utica have been pleasant. But one employee in particular is a shining star! He is patient and kind in explaining everything and his assistance was so appreciated. Val stood out to me as being a very valuable employee! I have one concern though. When I brought my car in to have rain guards installed and the anti-rust treatment, the man who logged me in in the service department, checked my car and said I have 1600 miles on it. Then the technician who installed the rain guards sent me a video and he also mentioned you have 1600 miles on your new vehicle. When I picked the car up around 5:30 PM that evening I checked the mileage and there was 1688 miles on the car. I was surprised but I did just drive back home. The more I think about it I cannot understand how 88 miles were put on my car, someone said it was going to Don’s Ford for this treatment. So again, I am concerned that 88 miles were put on my car. I thought your company should be aware of this. More

I have loved Subaru as a customer for the last year but this past visit was a little frustrating. I dropped my vehicle the morning of 11/3 and they provided me with an uber to work and said they would send this past visit was a little frustrating. I dropped my vehicle the morning of 11/3 and they provided me with an uber to work and said they would send me one at the end of the day. I tried to contact several times via message and phone and go no response so a colleague dropped me off at the end of the day. When I got there, they hadn't even looked at my vehicle due to it being an EV and needing a specific technician. Since I needed my car the next day, we rescheduled the appointment for the following week. I was assured I would be given a rental for that appointment in case it took multiple days. When I brought it in on 11/10, they did not have a rental ready for me. Luckily, they did get one and my vehicle was seen that day and taken care of with good communication and messages. Overall, I really love Subaru of Utica, but definitely needed some better communication on 11/3 about what was happening (or to reschedule if nobody who can see my vehicle is going to be available). More

I’m sorry to have to rate your service department a 3 star. Everything went great at the time of the appointment. Zach was very helpful, no complaints there. However my experience with being able to reach someone on the phone to make the appointment and ask some questions was frustrating. No one would ever answer. And I waited a week after leaving a message and no one called me back. I had to call the salesman that I bought the car through to have someone call me. And found out he doesn’t even work there anymore. He nicely helped anyways. When I explained my trouble in person about calling and not getting any one to answer or reply back I was told that new training was in process. It was as if I was expecting too much. I think someone needs to step up in that case, perhaps the manager, and not have the customers frustrated and annoyed because they can’t reach anyone to talk to. This same thing happened here a couple months ago when I tried to call. So it’s a not new problem. I hope in the future that it improves and I can call and not have to repeatedly keep trying with no results. More
