My Review of Tate Chevrolet Inc:
I am completely disgusted with the manner in which this dealership works. My husband & I went to the TATE CHEVY to purchase a vehicle WITHOUT utilizing the financing of this company (meaning we were paying "cash" for the vehicle by using financing from our Credit Union). After we were chose the vehicle and agreed upon a price, we were still asked to submit a credit application in the event there was a "problem with the check". We explained that we did not want our credit to be run, however we signed the form and added next to our signature "Not to be run unless there is a problem with the check from ___ bank". When we finally were taken to the finance manager, Brian T. McCabe, to sign-off on the vehicle, it was brought to our attention that TATE had run a credit report. It seems that it was not relayed to us that TATE has a company policy to run a credit report on ALL customers that use any other form of payment other than their financing. After 4 hours of belaboring the purchase of the vehicle, we were informed that there was a 10-day waiting period before we could accept delivery of our vehicle. Upon further investigation we were not the first to be "duped" into this scam. I am disgusted by the practices of TATE CHEVY and warn all that wish to purchase vehicles from them.
