I can recommend TedBritt Quality Centre, I personally feel they have qualified mechanices, last month I went TyresPlus for my vechicle steering wheel repair, they suggested me change the entire power st feel they have qualified mechanices, last month I went TyresPlus for my vechicle steering wheel repair, they suggested me change the entire power steering system , next day I went to TedBritt, they fixed the Power Steering Issue by correcting loose contact in P/S Cable. They just took 5 minutes to fix the issue, In TyresPlus I stayed halfday, they checked the entire engine, but they are not able to find the source of issue. More
Last year I bought a usedMountaineer from Smart Wheels a division of Ted Britt Ford. We were bought an extended warrenty (where we had to pay $100 deductible) and were also given a 2 month 2000 mile Ted Br division of Ted Britt Ford. We were bought an extended warrenty (where we had to pay $100 deductible) and were also given a 2 month 2000 mile Ted Britt Ford warrenty with no deductible. I immediately noticed a squeel in the car and took it into the ser vice deptartment at Chantilly Ted Britt Ford. They told me it was something in the transmission and would get back to me. The next thing I knew, the sales manager at Smart Wheels picked the car up, took it to an off lot repair shop and had the transmission fluid changed and said the car was fixed as good a new. The squeel was back the next day so I took it back to the Chantilly service department. It took over 3 weeks to work on the car saying it was the torque convertor. Imagine my surprise when I got the car back and it had the same squeel. I took the car back and the service manager said it was the differential and it took another week to have it worked on. During this time my car went over the 2000 miles. When I went back to to pick up the car they demanded I pay the $100 deductible. I argued that if they had fixed the car in the first place i wouldn't have gone over the 2000 miles. Susan told me if I wanted my car back I would pay the money. I paid and went home and stopped the check. Ted Britt Ford sued me for almost $500. We settled out of court but I still had to pay the $00 plus $50 in filing fees. I will never buy another car from Ted Britt ford or use their service department again. I advise everyone I know not to deal with them. More
About 4 years ago after getting my drivers license, I decided (like most teenagers) that I wanted a car of my own. Since I didn't need to drive all that far, my dad and I agreed that a used car would be decided (like most teenagers) that I wanted a car of my own. Since I didn't need to drive all that far, my dad and I agreed that a used car would be best. Now I haven't heard any of these in a while (since around that time actually), but there used to be these advertisements on the radio about how Ted Britt Ford had been number 1 in sales out of the Washington Area ford dealers for so many months and was getting pretty close to a record, and then Gardner Britt (the current owner, the son of Ted Britt) would come on and say, "I will do anything not to lose my number 1 status", so therefore we thought that this would be a good place to check out. Before I go any further, I would like to state that I kind of had my eye on either a Pickup or SUV. Anyway, she (Gwen) greeted us, and was very happy and polite that we had come looking for a car (of course). We went out and looked, but we didn't see anything within our price range. She then told us about a couple used Ford Explorers at Smart Wheels, which is a used car division of Ted Britt Ford (I'm not sure what the difference is between the Used car dept. and the Smart Wheels center though). The Smart Wheels center is about a half mile from the Ford Dealership. She then drove us over there in one of the [many] used sedans that the dealership had for sale, which seemed innocent enough (I didn't realize it at the time, but this would play a major role later, keep reading.) Well, the Explorers, though in [the higher part of] our price range, had a ton of miles and were kind of skimpy on options, so we decided to pass. She then drove us back in the sedan, and when we got back, she said, "What about this car that I drove you over in? It's only $X,XXX, and has low mileage, and lots of great options". I told her I wasn't interested, and she would not take no for an answer, which I found to be a little strange since I had expressed no interest in that kind of car. She said "Listen to me, you'll like it, I promise, take it off the lot and try it out for a couple days, bring it back and let me know" I did not accept, and I went home rather upset. I actually decided to buy a car just like that one after all (couldn't find a good Pickup or SUV at a good price), but I bought it from the Ford dealer in Tysons Corner. Gardner Britt was so focused on his number one status (which I don't THINK he has anymore), but if he would hire courteous sales people, he would have had one more sale, maybe even two more sales, as I would have considered his dealership for my recent car purchase. In closing I would like to say that although this happened 4 years ago, it still bothers me. I recently decided had to trade in my old car as it needed costly repairs (more than the vehicle was worth) and since my experience above was basically a first impression of a car sales person, I was not looking forward to car shopping. I'm really glad to have it over with, even though the people I dealt with (particularily the guy that sold me my new car) were friendly and no pressure. You would have thought they were paid by the hour. More
