The New Babylon Honda

Called about a car I saw on the certified pre-owned Honda website. I wanted to make sure they still had that actual vehicle. Both Bill & Alise (who is the used car manager) said they did and also said they website. I wanted to make sure they still had that actual vehicle. Ended up calling back a few hours later to leave a refundable deposit on the vehicle so I would definitely be able to see it. When Bill took my credit card info he also took my address (so he knew I didn't live close to them) my home phone # & my cell #. Got to Babylon Honda around 7pm. No Bill, no Alise and another salesman tells me that the price on the Honda website was wrong and it was actually $2,000 more. I asked why didn't anyone call me to let me know before I wasted my time which was met with a blank stare. My first call to them was at around 10am that morning, so they had 9 hours to figure out that the price listed on the website (which I quoted to Bill) was incorrect. It wasn't as if they were clamoring to show us anything else either. All the salesman in the showroom just stood around with that same blank stare. Called to speak with Alise the next day, left a voicemail, never heard back - big surprise huh? More

THEY HAVE ACTORS PRETENDING TO BE CUSTOMERS. Went there after shopping another dealer, when I walked in there where a lot of people standing around. I looked around for a few minutes and some guy came over and started talking to me, after talking to him for a minute or so I asked him if he worked here and said no. Thats when the sales guy came over. We talked for a few minutes and then went for a test drive. When we got back we sat at his desk and talked price. I told him I had a better price and he said he would go talk to his manager, I saw the first guy I talked to over talking to someone else and saying the same stuff he had said to me. He went down stairs and I went to talk to him, I asked him if he had bought a car and he said yes but could'nt tell me anything about his deal. I asked him what was up and he told me he was an actor they had come in to make it look busy and that he was not the only one. I left aafter hearing that and will not go back and will tell anyone I no not to go there. I know the car business is low but I did'nt know it was that low. In the end they did me a favor I got a good deal on a new ford focus that I am real happy with, it is a much nicer car than the civic. More

I bought a used Ford Expedition that had been traded in on a new Honda. Like most people, I was not thrilled about having to go to a dealer to buy a vehicle. I hate the negotiations and the "add on" sellin on a new Honda. Like most people, I was not thrilled about having to go to a dealer to buy a vehicle. I hate the negotiations and the "add on" selling pressure that invariably comes with getting a new or used vehicle. But, these guys were good and took a "no thanks" without giving me the really hard sell. I bought the truck on Thursday night and picked it up on Saturday. It was nicely detailed and Wayne followed up with me just this morning to make sure all was OK. I gave the price a 4 out of 5 only because they just wouldn't come off the internet price but all in all, I think I got a good price on a really great truck. More

We leased a car on Monday. We were told they had to get the car and we should have it by Wed or Thurs. On Thurs they said the car was in, but then we were told they didn't have the paperwork. I had changed plans in order to pick up the car on Thursday, but the on Friday, I changed my physical therapy appointment and then we were told not only didn't they have the paperwork, but they didn't know when it would be in. We can have our deposit back. We went in, got the deposit back, but I had actually ask for a receipt that my charge card was credited the money. Charlie also told us very little about the car on our test drive. They also did absolutely nothing to keep our business. You'd think they would have tried to give us an incentive to wait it out or take a different car. I was unimpressed, especially when I compare with the great service I got around the corner from my house at Honda City of Levittown. More

I went to Babylon Honda recently to lease a new 2011 Odyssey. I was quoted a price by the sales rep and was told that the price was good for "today only". I didn't want to get the car right then and there and didn't appreciate the pressured sales tactic either. I called back the next day and negotiated with the same sales person Al Lepler, the same price from the day before. Al told me "no hidden fees....the price was the price." When I showed up to pick up the car I was presented with the paperwork and they wanted an additional $70 upfront. I told Al that I didn't agree to that with him and he said he would speak with the manager. The manager, Joe, came over to me and told me he wasn't budging over the additional $70. He said that the original deal from the previous day was no longer good and he wanted the additional $70. I told him that Al and I had agreed to lower price, which Al agreed to again in front of Joe, but the manager was not swayed. So I walked away from the deal at Babylon Honda. Joe was very abrasive over the whole thing. He was totally unprofessional. He acted like it was my fault. Joe seems to have never heard of the phrase "the customer is always right." If he dealt with all of his customers the way he dealt with me, I can't imagine that anyone would ever go there. Why Joe would walk from a sale over a sum of $70 that was agreed to by myself and the salesperson is beyond my comprehension. The tone starts at the top, and if Joe epitomizes Babylon Honda I would caution all of you to NEVER, EVER go there. This place is totally shady. More
