I wouldn't recommend a Nissan vehicle to anyone. I am one of thousands, Im sure, who's vehicle year, make and model is part of the fuel gauge recall but by a miracle produced by Nissan Corp, my VIN# is N More

First, let me start by thanking you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I know how frustrating it can be when something goes wrong with a major piece of equipment. We expect the operation to be flawless day after day. When the equipment fails to meet these expectations we tend to loose faith in that product. I don’t think it is prudent to proclaim that Thoroughbred Nissan and Nissan vehicles are bad due to a fuel gauge that failed and the out-of-warranty item was not replaced without an out-of-pocket expense. Nissan Corporation has been making safe, sound, quality vehicles for over 80 years and Thoroughbred Nissan has been serving our community with quality, friendly, honest service for over 40 of those years. We do realize that the staff of Thoroughbred Nissan is not perfect and we are always trying to improve our performance. Nissan makes a great product at a great value and we hope to continue to provide our community quality service. Thanks again for your input and I hope that this message finds you having a great day!

Steer Clear of Thoroughbred. I had my 2006 Nissan 350z in their service department for two days because the car would not start. They indicated the problem was due to a bad key and to resolve the issue t More

The worst possible service for me is when something breaks and nobody seems to be able to resolve the problem. And as aggravating as the situation is, I understand that mechanics are only human, and can only fix issues they can duplicate. I'm curious, there is no mention of what transpired to resolve the original issue. Did reprogramming the keys resolve the isssue in the end?

Most of the time, Dealers are forced to make snap credit decisions while provided with limited information while the banks are closed. Dealerships are often at a disadvantage when they quote interest rates based purely on reviewing a client’s credit history. Our Finance Staff and Sales Managers have years of experience determining what is the most lowest rate a customer will qualify for. But even with all of their experience there are still times when the Banks see things in a different light. We work as hard as possible to avoid these situations and sincerely apologies for the inconvienience this has caused. Thoroughbred Nissan strives to make your experience as smooth and hassle free as possible and hope you will reconsider us when you are in the market once again.

Your right that a factory extended warranty does not cover third party equipment. But factory warranties are great for covering potentially expensive repairs though. A simple A/C unit can cost upwards of $800! An engine can cost $5,000 or more! There are a variety of warranties as well, from simple power train policies to full mechanical coverage. But even the best policies though don't cover everything, such as wear and tear, brakes, clutches and the like. Warranties are designed to be like insurance and to help reduce your exposure, not to eliminate the exposure. I can understand your frustration and apologies for the aggravation it may have caused. It is our desire to under promises and over deliver and I can only hope that you will give us another opportunity when the need arises.

Thoroughbred Nissan does provide a product called "Thoroughguard" which is paint protectant, fabric sealant and undercoating. The undercoating is great at reducing road noise. The fabric sealant is perfect for protecting seats from staining due to drinks and such. The paint protectant is a polymer and is designed to bind with the paint and to make it a little more durable. The package has a value of $896 but was included in the negotiated purchase price. Thoroughbred Nissan is only trying to help protect your investment so that it can retain its value for as long as possible. The package really is a good deal, especially if it is included at no extra charge!

Thoroughbred Nissan sits next door to a company called 'Thoroughbred Paint and Body'. Although they are next door to us, they are not affiliated with 'Thoroughbred Nissan'. I know it frustrated you when 'Thoroughbred Nissan' would not cover expenses incurred at 'Thoroughbred Paint and Body'. We do not endorse, recommend or affiliate with the body shop. We can not force the body shop to change their name nor to move. I regret the situation and I wish there was a better resolution. Hopefully over time you will reconsider and separate the two, despite the similar names. Thank you for your input, and I hope this message finds you having a great day!
