In Oct 2025, I test drove a GR Corolla at a local dealer and decided it w go see Alishah and Chris for an efficient, no-nonsense vehicle purchase. In Oct 2025, I test drove a GR Corolla at a local dealer and decided it was the one for me. I was not ready to purchase at the time as I was still saving enough to buy the car outright. I noted the discount on the vehicle that was in-stock, as it was what I was expecting for me to pull the trigger. In Jan 2026, I entered the market in earnest. I called 21 dealers among IA, IL, WI, MI, OH, MO. I had a deal for $2,000 off MSRP from an IL dealer, but when it came time to put words to paper, the games started: “you need to come in to get numbers”. I passed on that deal. Four weeks later, I found a GR Corolla at Twin City Toyota that met my specs and (surprisingly) was not pre-sold. I called Twin City Toyota and connected with Chris, explained that I am looking for a deal. He sent me a walkaround video of the vehicle and we exchanged texts throughout that day to express interest in obtaining Twin City’s proposal. The discount they provided was an excellent starting point. The following day, I asked Chris to make the selling price a nice round number, and Chris and his manager agreed without hesitation. I left my deposit and got working on obtaining insurance and the cashier’s check from my bank. The morning of my visit, Alishah connected with me to obtain the cashier’s check information so they could confirm funds are secured with the bank. When I arrived at Twin City Toyota three hours later, everything was ready for my closing. Chris came into the dealer on his day off to meet me in person and finalize the transaction. Alishah was the sales manager as well as the finance manager; she presented the incremental products and services typical of all dealers. I was never pressured to buy any of them; I simply declined them and Alishah understood. I closed on the GR Corolla in less than ten minutes…a new personal record. After I finished the work in the finance office, Chris configured my vehicle to the Toyota Connect app with my phone, and I was up and running within five minutes. My total time at the dealer was less than 30 minutes. I wish all of my prior vehicle purchases were as easy as the GR Corolla at Twin City Toyota. More
