Frankly, I never thought that I could buy a car from 1300 miles away based solely on dealer pictures and a sales person's description. But in the end everything worked out and the car is even better than I hoped it would be. Additionally, Kornelija arranged for the shipping which was a big benefit for me; the car arrived promptly and in excellent shape. All in all simply superb! More

When I stepped through the front door of the showroom I knew I was in the right place. The receptionist was very welcoming and had someone with me in just minutes. That someone was Landry!!! He too was very welcoming and tended to my comfort there in the showroom. Landry is every bit a gentleman and professional. The more we discussed the RDX the more apparent it became that he was an expert on his product. When I asked a question, you can bet he had the answer. Words to describe Landry; professional, trustworthy, kind, expert, and patient. Then there is Eric. What a great guy to do business with. He was very fair in evaluating my trade-in. He too made me feel at home and worked diligently to find the Basque Red RDX that I "just had to have". He found it and promised delivery to me and I was not disappointed. Words to describe Eric; honest and forthright, professional, and knowledgeable. And then there is Amanda. It is hard to put into words just how proficient she was in her responsibility of taking care of our needs. She thoroughly explained all of our options regarding the maintenance and warranty plans. When we went over all the contract I was very impressed with her knowledge of the products she delivered. She made a tedious somewhat mundane task very easy and expedient. Word to describe Amanda; intelligent, professional, and knowledgeable. Landry, Eric and Amanda left no stone unturned in the entire process of purchasing my beautiful red RDX. When I am on I-20 and pass the dealership I wave and ask blessings on every one of them and their "Vandergriff Family". May they be as blessed by me as I have been by them. The "car buying process" went quickly, we were not detained all day waiting and going back and forth on price; an extremely smooth process! I thouroughly enjoy taking our cars in to Vandergriff to have routine service. Vince always meets me with a smile and willing to do whatever it takes to make my wait very minimal. Vince makes sure the service is done to Vandergriff's high standards, goes over the needed service with me and when it is completed explains every aspect of their service work. Vince is extremely knowledgable and truthful, I never feel like I have been taken advantage of. My husband and I will never go anywhere else but Vandergriff Acura to purchase our future vehicles. On Wednesday, April 13, 2010, Bill Chapman, the Used Car Director quoted a price on a car my sixteen year old son found on the web dealership's page via e-mail. The dealership quoted a price $17,999 and ev Director quoted a price on a car my sixteen year old son found on the web dealership's page via e-mail. The dealership quoted a price $17,999 and even offered to honor the price through the weekend. My son and his mother went to the dealership the next day, looked at the car, and agreed to purchase it for $17,999. Then they filled out all the paper work and agreed to take delivery the next day. The dealership stated they would detail the car and have it waiting under the awning for delivery. The next day I called and was told by Bill they had quoted the price to us on a differnt car, having "transposed the stock number" and the new price would be $19,999 or $2,000 higher. When they found this oput was unclear but we received no call, e-mail, or any other communication and were on the way to the dealership. I asked to speak with the GM and was told he was out of town. Bill told me we didn't have a legally binding contract and that there was nothing he could do for me. I agreed and stated " that if we had there wouldn't be a problem but we were talking about what the right thing to do was. As I pressed to speak to the GM, Bill finally offered to sell me the car we had been discussing the whole time at his cost of $18,363. I agreed to the compromise because my son was so excited about his first car, and told him I would be in the next day to take delivery. When we got to the dealership the next day we found out that Bill had sold our car to another party ten minutes after we got off the phone. No phone call, no e-mail, no communication again, although Bill had my contact information. I have never witnessed a more callous or unethical treatment of a customer in my life. More

My and my wife's experience with Vandergriff was fantastic. I was interested in an Acura TL and knew my budget limitations. I initially called the dealership and was put in touch with Eric Blair, fantastic. I was interested in an Acura TL and knew my budget limitations. I initially called the dealership and was put in touch with Eric Blair, New Car Sales Manager, and, a little to my surprise, we began talking by e-mail. I told him what I was looking for and he quoted me a price that was outside my budget, although not a bad price at all. I responded with the price that I felt would work for me and stated that I fully understood if the car could not be sold at that price. Eric stated that he could do the deal and we moved forward. Two days later, my family and I went to the dealership to handle the necessary paperwork and pick up the car. The process was seamless. The finance manager, Holly, was very nice and very low pressure regarding the various options that were available. Steve, the internet sales manager spent approx. 45 minutes going over the more technical features of the car and was extremely cordial. While most of Eric's work had been done previously by e-mail, he remained very involved and welcoming to the dealership. Landry, another salesman, was also involved in various aspects of the transaction and was extremely cordial and knowledgeable. Finally, I cant say enough good things about Robert Knowles, the General Manager. He, as most GM's are, was heavily involved in the process, but having already secured the purchase price by e-mail, there was no back and forth between the salesman and GM that I was used to when purchasing a car. Mr. Knowles is very courteous and gives the impression that he knows customers have a choice and truly appreciates people who enter his dealership. My experience is that this dealership operates with a high degree of integrity that starts at the top (Mr. Knowles) and flows down. I would not hesitate to do future business with them or recommend anyone to them. More

My review is simple. I knew without doubt what car I wanted and Vandergriff had a trim/color combination I was interested in. I was looking to buy within 48 hours, and didn't have a lot of time to wast wanted and Vandergriff had a trim/color combination I was interested in. I tried to work with their internet sales mgr, Steve Morrell who offered a slightly above-average price for the car I was interested in, but then didn't call me back. I went to the dealership that night in person to look at the car, and the salesman (filling in for Steve) was extraordinarily enthusiastic and helpful. I told him I wanted to buy the car that night. Now here's the full disclosure: I was in early negotiations with other dealers at that time as well and thought the "right price" was almost $50/mo less than theirs. This is because of a math error in a quote given me by another dealer (he didn't realize some TLs come with performance wheels/tires at extra cost). I asked why there was such a price discrepancy. This is where the trouble began. The general manager stormed out of his office, mumbled a "Hi there" at me with clear disgust on his face, then sat me down to tell me how it was. He opened with "This is my price. You've been given it before [by Steve] and if that doesn't work for you, then you need to go find yourself another dealer." I tried to de-escalate the situation by apologizing for our rocky start and asked him to help me understand the price differences. Again, he would have none of it. He stated flatly "I don't care where they get their numbers. Maybe they work on a different profit structure than I do. You have my price." I had no choice whatsoever - the man, and thus the dealership, had no interest in my business. I walked out. The next day, Steve called me back to ask what had gone wrong the night before. I explained all of the above. He reassured me that this was *not* the Vandergriff experience and promised to call me back after looking into it. I was happy he called and really hoping we could put things back on track, since I still wanted the blue color. It's now a week later. I never heard from them again. It wasn't a problem. The day after this horrible experience, I bought the car from another dealer and had a great experience doing it; it turns out I like black even more than I like blue. Buyer beware - even if you don't see him in person, this is the GM who's setting up your deals. More

Consumer Beware! I sent my parents in on a recomendation after having a fairly OK experiance. They took full advantage of them! I guess I'm more aware but older folks are more likely to be trustung. They convinced my elderly parents to sign up for a 4 year lease!! The payments are higher than if they bought it at 7%! Ripped off and mad... Don't trust these guys!!! Salesman was nice- "finance manager" is out to get the salesman and you-- will attempt anything and everything to slip things into your contract. Happened with me too!! More
