My Review Of Village Auto Sales:

I bought a 2000 Ford F 150 pick-up truck from their listing on Auto Trader. Everybody was nice to deal with on the phone. I asked specific questions about the truck to help make my decision to buy. I asked Gerry if it had any hail damage. He told me "NO" it did not. That was incorrect. I discovered hail damage on the hood and roof. Dave told me there was no rust anywhere on the truck but the frame is rusted severely. Not to the point of structural weekness but much more rust than you would expect on a truck with only 21,000 miles. The engine was not "steam cleaned". Now, they didn't claim that it was, so there was no deception there but it was my assumption that a truck as clean as they said it was, would have the engine detailed. The biggest problem was the windshield. The rubber moulding around the windshield was loose and flapping and the windshield leaks! I have to pay $125 to get it re-sealed and if the window breaks as they are trying to get it out, then it will cost me over $340.00! Another deception was the fact that they listed the truck to have cruise control & tilt wheel. It did not have cruise control OR a tilt wheel. I asked Gerry why it was listed with cruise control & a tilt wheel and he said, "I never said it had cruise control or a tilt wheel." He was right, he never SAID it but it was included on the listing on Auto Trader. The gas tank was almost empty but Gerry gave me $20 when I confronted him about it. Overall it was a disappointing experience and I would NEVER recommend this dealership to ANYONE without warning them to make sure they SEE the vehicle BEFORE buying it because you can't trust the description they give you over the phone.
