A few months back my wife backed into a "moving" mailbox in front of the police station in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Bless her heart.... To say the least my brand new GL450's backside was dominated by this moving mailbox. The first thing that came to mind was to call the Mercedes of Ann Arbor. But my experience with them hasn't always been consistent. I Googled the best professional and friendliest Mercedes dealership in MI, to my surprise the people that answered the phones were quickly hung up on because of their brisk, aggressive, and impatient tone. I couldn't believe it! Here I was willing to drive any distance to get my car worked on. So the only person I clearly remember providing me outstanding and friendly services was Keith Solomon, whom I thought at that time worked for the Ann Arbor dealership as their Service Manager. But little did I know he went to work for Vin Devers Autohaus of Sylvania,in Ohio. To get to the point I happened to have Keith's number. I called him 30 minutes after my wife's accident. He was polite, professional, friendly, and he remembered me! His first response was "Is everyone OK?". Impressive! We talked more about me and my family than the accident. By the time we got around to talk about what to do with my brand new banged up GL450, I was relaxed and at ease. Keith simply said "Vin Devers will take care of you don't worry about thing". He drove to my home in Ann Arbor, MI. He dropped off a loaner car and took the GL back to their very own Auto Body Shop, which I had no idea they had. With that said this all happened the very same day of the accident. On that day it became very clear that Vin Devers Autohaus of Sylvania in Ohio would be my new home for all of my Mercedes needs. My GL450 came back to me in showroom condition! Since the accident I have had all my cars serviced at Vin Devers. I personally drove down to Vin Devers shortly after getting my GL back to thank them. Thank you Jason Perry for the tour of your facility and your warm hospitality. You have an exceptional crew there! What a wonderful and friendly group of people!! Just an overall great experience. I purchased a car from a different Audi Dealership (Continental Audi of Naperville). The car was making noise but Continental assured me it was not an issue and nothing to a different Audi Dealership (Continental Audi of Naperville). Knowing I have worked with Vin Devers in the past, I took the car to them as soon as I get back in town. They told me car needed $13**.** worth of repair. I told them what happened and Roget Aouad was very helpful. He recommended I call AUDI USA Customer relations to notify them what happened. AUDI USA was able to get the other dealership to pay $500.00 and AUDI USA matched the $500.00. The other dealership refused to pay for any work prior to contacting AUDI USA. Because of the advise he gave me, I was able save $1000.00 on repairs. He was very helpful in making my experience that much better. I was also given a loaner car to drive while it was being fixed.
