Volvo Cars Sarasota

Was Traveling out of Indiana XC90 and as another review my AC went out. Called VOS (Volvo of Sarasota) made an appointment and brought the car in. Primary contact made was with Jimmy Lander (Asst. Servic my AC went out. Called VOS (Volvo of Sarasota) made an appointment and brought the car in. Primary contact made was with Jimmy Lander (Asst. Service Manager) Within 20 mins Jimmy comes back with a diagnoses of both condensers are leaking and that the cost would be $5,500 dollars but he would have the car complete in 6 hours.(Really) Well being a mechanical Engineer in the Automotive industry for 40 years told me Jimmy was full of POOP. I paid my $250. to get my car back After which I took to another dealer where the car was sniffed and then black lighted for leaks where none were found any where near a condenser put in a inner valve assembly and the problem was fixed at NO COST (I purchased lunch for their shop) I have to say stay away if your car is out of Warranty because the next person may just believe what they hear !! If your looking for a reputable shop go to NAPA and ask the guy behind the counter if he knows of a good VOLVO shop that they deliver components to,,,, He knows. More

Dealt with Jimmy, a so called customer service adviser. He should be working in the garage and not the front dealing with customers. He has no personality and couldn’t care less that I had to wait 2 hours He should be working in the garage and not the front dealing with customers. I approached him 3 times to give me an update or could he please give me an estimated time of completion as I had another important appointment. I never heard from him once and he couldn’t have cared less and never apologized for my wait when finished. Won’t do business their when my lease is up. More

While driving down to Florida from CT my air conditioner was not working. I called Volvo of Sarasota and talked to Allen who manages the service , told him of my dilemma, he told me to bring the car in the was not working. I called Volvo of Sarasota and talked to Allen who manages the service , told him of my dilemma, he told me to bring the car in the next morning he would have the service tech check out the problem, they had the part and repaired the problem.
