After completing an online questionnaire and expressing interest in the XC60, I was contacted by a representative from the dealership who scheduled an appointment for me to meet with the manager. I arrived interest in the XC60, I was contacted by a representative from the dealership who scheduled an appointment for me to meet with the manager. I arrived at the dealership as instructed, presented myself at the front desk, and was told to have a seat while waiting for the manager. As I waited, I observed another customer who appeared visibly upset and voiced her dissatisfaction with the service she had received. This immediately raised concerns for me. Shortly after, a gentleman passing by finally stopped to ask who I was waiting for. When I explained that I had an appointment with the manager, he went to retrieve him. Upon meeting the manager, I felt out of place and that the staff were unprepared for my visit, despite being told over the phone that the dealership was aware of my interest in the XC60. I was then introduced to a salesperson named Steve. Unfortunately, this interaction only worsened my impression. Steve’s demeanor was arrogant and dismissive. He spoke down to me in a condescending tone, as though I were a child, and his responses to my questions were curt, derogatory, and delivered with little professionalism. At no point did I feel respected or valued as a potential customer. Instead, I felt rushed, overwhelmed with numbers, and ultimately disregarded. I walked away without the opportunity to properly explore the vehicle I was interested in because I was so distracted by the poor treatment I received. This was, without question, one of the most disappointing dealership experiences I have ever had. For a brand with Volvo’s reputation, I expected far better. As a result, I will not return to this dealership, and my confidence in Volvo as a company has been negatively impacted. Customers should leave a dealership feeling respected and supported, not belittled and dismissed. More
