Professional & courteous service - Germaine1916
My rating was given because I have never had a bad experience or complaint about the work needed on my car & the update given as to what should be done now or in the future to keep my car running properly for as long as possible.

First service after purchase - Lois Murphy
I had a very positive experience. I work with Chris and he was very informative and upfront about that due to the pollen filters might have to be changed and super polite and friendly. I love my Equinox!!
Smooth transaction clockwork procedure - truck guy
Bought a 2011 Chevy Avalanche from Joe Pellegrini...I live 2 hrs away so some of the paper work was done over the phone which made the transaction at the dealership go smoothly. Joe had everything ready to go for when I got there from insurance to registry and plates and a plow installed. I even saw him lending a hand putting it on. Thanks Joe
No pressure at all. A truly enjoyable experience. - Ed Burns
It has been my happy experience to work with John Gould three times in the past ten years. Each time I deal with him, I mentally note: "What a pleasant man this is, even more so than I remembered". If you don't yet have relationship with a sales person at Herb Connolly Motors, ask for John Gould if you don't want any pressure but you could use a little guidance.
Exceptional Service - 1998 Suburban Owner
I have a 1998 Suburban and they have been tremendous in helping me maintain the truck. They are honest with me, which goes a long way and compels me to always bring the truck there for service. They are frank with me about what must be done/could be done/doesn't need to be done. The service staff is excellent to communicate with, and they set expectations well. Great stuff.
Outstanding Buying Experience, Oustanding Pre-Owned Vehicle! - Jardis
Five years ago, while visiting Herb Chambers Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Danvers, General Manager Jim Klimas introduced me to a gently used 2004 Ford Expedition. It was very important to me that the vehicle was a safe one as I have three drivers, two of whom are in high school and one is in college. I am pleased to report that this vehicle has been driven 50,000 miles and has only required oil changes and a set of new tires. What a great value at a great price! Thank you Jim!
Outstanding Customer Service - jomtoro
An issue arose with my OnStar Module and Battery Pack. After discussion with the Service Manager and Service Consultant my cost for the module was waived due to a design change. As an extended courtesy my oil change cost was also waived. I've always had good experiences at Lannan ever since I purchased my 2011 Chevy Impala there.
WOW! 5 Stars! - november6
I had the best buying experience here. John Lynch really made my experience worth a 5 star review. I knew what I wanted and he made that a reality. The staff here went above and beyond to make it all happen. They were such a joy to work with. I will definitely be back!
First time buyer, fantastic experience - ev_in_someville
TLDR: great dealership, great people to work with. just because they don't always have the lowest sticker prices doesn't mean you shouldn't try them!
I was very nervous buying my very first new car with my husband. I'm not into uncertainty and I hate haggling. We knew we wanted the Chevy Bolt, and another much larger south shore dealer had a better price on the internet. We did a little research on DealerRater and found this other dealer to have pretty bad reviews (3ish stars), with a lot of similar reviews about broken promises in the finance office.
Mirak was closer and had great reviews, so although their sticker price was higher, we decided to test drive there and just check it out. We worked with Brett J., who was knowledgeable, always available, and treated us with respect and honesty.
After test driving, we spent some more time researching, calling around to several local dealerships. We were trying to save money (of course), so we called up the larger dealership I mentioned above. Immediate difference: we were spoken to in an angry, impatient tone rattling off a bunch of numbers. We REALLY hoped we would not have to go to that dealership to get the better price.
We returned to Mirak and connected with Brett about if he would be able to match that price. I'm sure it was at least partially luck, but they were able to, all while making it a clear, respectful, easy experience. We worked with Steve on the financing and everything was clearly explained, and he was also great at answering questions. There were some upselling attempts but nothing high pressure or dishonest. We read through everything and every t was crossed and i was dotted, and drove the car home just a few days after the paperwork was signed!
I'm so glad we did our research on DealerRater and didn't immediately jump for the lowest sticker price on the internet! As long as we're buying Chevys, we'll be Mirak customers. Family owned business, and the quality of people working there is so high.
Awesome experience! - Kevin Rogers
Tom O'Connor went out of his way to make the buying experience easy, quick, and extremely fair! I can't recommend him enough!
Make sure to ask for Tom!
great sales experience - truckfanatic
Just did a first time lease at boch chevy and couldn't be more pleased. My salesman Gary Keith was great. Very patient and courteous of what I needed and he worked hard to get me the best deal. Also met the manager Paul who was super nice and made sure I was truly happy and satisfied. I'll be back for sure.
Poor customer service - KyleePerrotta
The customer service was deplorable. I called and spoke to a Steven G on the phone about a vehicle. That same day my husband went up to see the vehicle and spoke to a Larry who gave him his "absolute lowest price" I went online and check the stock number only to see the price on the website was $2,200 less than Larrys "lowest price". So he called Larry when he got home in which Larry had to "go look into it" two times and call back. Then I went up the next day and was told by Steven G to talk to a Steven B when I arrived and that the vehicle would be pulled up for me and even set up an apt time. I get there and the receptionist wouldn't allow me to speak to Steven B and directed me to speak to Larry once again. Well Larry was selling another vehicle to a couple and was occupied but they wouldn't let me speak to any other sales member. I was beyond annoyed at this point, and didn't feel like a valued customer. I spoke to a Phil and he couldn't locate the trucks keys or the truck that was supposed to be out front for my "scheduled appointment." Then Larry attempts to juggle selling me a truck as well as the couple he was originally taking care of. Then Larry takes my keys and has someone else check out my vehicle. That person normally works in used vehicles and is not familiar with the new car department. He comes back with an extremely low number on my vehicle, roughly 7k UNDER the KBB trade in amount. At this point they have killed my patience level and I go to the game manager, get my keys back and leave. They are unprofessional, under staffed, unorganized, and sleazy since they have quoted prices higher than marked online and low ball trade ins. They must not value customer service.
Never again - Bsawyer28
I will NEVER go back! So for starters the vehicle was purchased here and was given free oil changes for life, we had no problems for a while until I had to deal with Gary. So We were getting full synthetic oil changes in our 02 Town Car, well this time around they wouldn't give us the full synthetic after like three years of running Full synthetic typical of GM always trying to find a cheap way out just like the ignition switch scandal... but moving on.. after an argument with Gary I still did not receive my full synthetic oil and HAD to accept that. I then went on to ask that they use a Motorcraft oil filter FL820S because they are specially designed to keep oil pressure so that the timing chain tensioners do not fail. Now before you say "well this is a GM dealer" I usually bring my own filter for them but ran short on time this time and requested that they get it for me which iv done before and they did since they are $3.99 at Autozone. But needless to say they did not this time & they put a cheap STP filter on it which does not have the anti drain back valve that it needs to maintain oil pressure! & then to top it all off they put 5W-30 oil IN IT! It clearly states on the oil cap 5W-20 only & again this is because this particular motor will have timing tensioner & catalytic converter issues with heavier oil types... I am very disappointed with this dealer and will never recommend them or go back!! They got what they wanted, they wanted me gone & it worked
Patient and Potlite - James McMullen
Liberty Chevy presented me with the most relaxed experience out of the handful of dealerships I visited throughout my search for a new truck. The atmosphere in Liberty's showroom was different than most dealerships I visited. It was relaxed but attentive, the staff was very polite and welcoming.
As a recent college graduate, this was my first "big-ticket" purchase, which added an element of pressure to the situation, as I had no real experience buying anything I needed to finance. Which lead to a lot of hesitation on my part throughout the search. Most of the dealerships I visited tried to pressure me into making decisions on the spot; some even went as far as to say the offer would be pulled if I walked out the door. At Liberty, I never got the feeling anyone was playing hardball with me. The staff was more than willing to let me take my time with any decision I was going to make. In fact, I was in and out of the dealership three times before I signed any paperwork. After I signed, they still displayed the same patience and courtesy they had before, making me feel like they not only wanted to lock down a sale, but wanted to provide a good car buying experience.
This is a dealer who knows how to treat a customer right.... - Doug139
This is a dealer who knows how to treat a customer right. Good service, great parts department, and a sales department that is friendly and fair to its customers. They offered me more money for my trade-in than any other dealer recently. Too bad GM is such a mess.
I had brought my car to my micanic for an oil change and... - stella03986
I had brought my car to my micanic for an oil change and told him about a recall I received for the Rear Crossmember he would not touch my car except to check that out. I called Tom Chevrolet and made the apointment. When I picked it up they said it was fine and put a coating on it. I then brought the car back to my micanic and they told me they didn't do anything and the rear cross member was all rusted and they only had coated what you could see by looking at it. I then call Chris and brought the car back to the dealership. I called the next day and Chris said it was just rusted, I said that is the same as corroded and he said no it was not. So we went back and forth for about 15 minutes. Then he tells me they used a machine to punch into the bar to test it. So I said, now is rusting out with punch holes in it and that just makes it worse. He kept say no and he's not changing it and I can do what ever I need to and call whom ever I want but he's not changing it. I can take it to another dealership. I have bought my last two cars there and 3 of my girlfriend also did. We will never do anything with them again. Every since they changed hands they are so aweful.
