I had heard that the service at Berge was really good, so I started there to look for my new car. I was met at the door by Trent with a smile, and a handshake. I looked no further. He took it from there and made sure that I walked out with the car I was looking for. I am not an easy sale, but with his knowledge, patience, and no pressure attitude, Trent sold me on day one. He even took me and personally introduced me to the Service Manager. Actually, I think just about everyone I met there seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Great family to be a part of, and I am looking forward to the great service that I heard about. From beginning to end, I had an excellent experience.

Buying a car at Chapman Mazda with Cally was an entirely different experience than what I had at the big corporate dealerships. The difference with a smaller, family-owned dealership really comes down to the people. Not only was Chapman able to beat the “big boys” on price, but the experience itself was what truly set them apart. When I shopped at a large dealership for my first plug-in hybrid, I had a lot of questions about the battery during the test drive. The salesperson’s response? “Do I look like a mechanic?” Needless to say, that didn’t inspire confidence. Cally, on the other hand, went above and beyond. He had me pull into a parking lot and spent over 35 minutes walking me through every feature of the car, every button, every setting, and even how to fully use and customize the infotainment system. His knowledge and patience made me feel confident about my purchase. The communication at Chapman was also night-and-day compared to the big guys. At the other dealership, I never knew who I was texting or emailing, one message was all lowercase, another in bold Times New Roman, another short and clipped. It felt messy and unprofessional, and the worst was the ChatGPT crafted email that contained false information about their incentives. At Chapman, I worked directly with Cally (sales), Michael (sales manager), and Amir (finance). Every interaction was professional, transparent, and respectful. When it came time to talk numbers, we had a straightforward back-and-forth conversation that was refreshingly honest. No games, no pressure, no getting shuffled around to different “mystery” people. The big dealership actually got upset with me because I wouldn’t agree to buy a higher trim that I hadn’t seen or driven, and they didn't want to give me time to consider my budget. At Chapman, I was treated with respect the entire way through. If you’re tired of the corporate runaround and want an honest, knowledgeable, and respectful car-buying experience, I can’t recommend Chapman Mazda and Cally enough.

So the good news is this dealership is closed. My last service visit for an oil change resulted in the service advisor coming out to the customer lounge to tell me the car needed a number of service items. When I pointed out three of those recommended service were completed at my prior visit with them, the service advisor excused himself. Fifteen minutes later he tells me the mechanic failed to check their computer records. What a load of “bull”.

I found the vehicle I wanted looking online and sent him a message. OMG, he made every step after that so easy. There’s a lot of salesmen out there; but Robert goes far beyond. If you are thinking about buying car, send him a message or call him. I’m so happy I did.

I reached out to the dealership after finding a Velar I really wanted to get. I spoke with Baldo Gudiel I told him I waned to speak with a manager and he put me in contact with Ernesto Alvarez.I explained what I was trying to accomplish and thought I was in good hands. Because I had a totaled car I told the manager that in email and explained everything before running credit as I don't believe in wasting time or did I want any wasted credit inquiries and he said he could help.. Ran credit then he starts to blame me for the way we were communicating by email although we did speak by phone. The manager is very rude saying I lied about my credit score when I sent screenshots of what I was on my dashboard directly from that credit bureau's website.. I then asked the sales rep what if I added a trade and the sales rep got all my info and then took days before telling me how much my trade was and what was going on and if they even spoke to the bank about my trade now. The sales rep or who ever then says they would see what they can do when I told them I would write honest reviews about the lack of communication and also how they speak to people. I am not sure how they have good reviews but for a customer who wanted to give them business and explained things before hand you would think you would be treated with respect. I would never purchase from this company and if you come in contact with the two I mentioned stay clear if you would like better customer service.
