In September of 2023 I purchased a used 2015 Nissan - Mike H.

In September of 2023 I purchased a used 2015 Nissan Frontier from this dealership. Within the first week I noticed a heating issue with the truck. After several visits back to the service department, they eventually replaced the engine coolant thermostat. After retrieving the truck, I immediately experienced issues with the temperature gauge fluctuating and the fan running nonstop. I was initially told this was normal operating status for the vehicle and they were not able to duplicate the issues. Fast forward two months later, the vehicle has finally been fixed at my expense. In the four months of ownership, the vehicle has been in Porter Ford's service shop as well as a local Nissan dealership for the same reported issues. Out of pocket, I have spent approximately $1,000 not including over a half dozen trips taking the vehicle back and forth to the dealership from Maryland to Delaware. Ultimately, it was determined the service department at Porter Ford installed an aftermarket thermostat and the incorrect coolant which caused the subsequent issues that I experienced. I reached out to the service department to determine if I would be re-imbursed for the cost and inconvenience experienced by the defective part and improper installation performed under the 3000 mile warranty provided by the dealership. I was informed last week that the owner decided not to honor my request. I am extremely disappointed by this experience and would like to give insight to anyone else that may be looking to buy a used vehicle from this dealership.

After a meeting with Director of Fixed Operations Skip McCracken, and the Service department employee, we discussed the extremely high service repair amount, I was quoted the day. Resulting in having to take my vehicle to another Auto Shop and feeling I will never come back here again! . Mr. McCracken acknowledged that his service department employee had made a mistake and the repair amount quoted was too high. Both Mr. McCraken and the service department employee were very apologetic and concerned that Ford would loose my business. I have been having my Ford vehicles serviced at various Ford service centers for 25 years. Not only was this a learning experience for the service department employee but I believe that sometimes a negative review can be a leaning tool to success. Because of the way Mr. McCracken handled this situation, I have high admiration and respect for him. I will return to Boulevard Ford Lincoln in Georgetown for future service .

After purchasing our new Black 2018 Ford Taurus SEL we had to have some minor warranty work done. The service manager Steve is very helpful he takes notes about every issue very thoroughly. He explains the repair process in detail and the estimated time frame for repairs. The warranty manager Kim is also very helpful in reviewing the issues. While in for service I had a chance to look at the many services offered one thing I noticed is there is a wide variety of services available. Another great thing is the knowledge and experience of the Ford Factory trained Technicians, so you can rest assured they will do the job right. We also had our car in the on site Body Shop Hertrich's Collision Center for some paintwork, hands down they do some of the best bodywork in the area, with very seasoned painters and body repair techs. So if you are looking for great service at a great price I would most definitely recommend Frederick Ford and the Hertrich's family of dealerships. Oh and that's the great thing about buying a car from Hertich's there are so many locations here on Delmarva.

So I take a vehicle to Willis Ford Smyrna to have a vibration fixed. Well months and month later thousands of dollars later after multiple repairs due to miss diagnosis the problem got worse and worse. With having the vehicle for weeks at a time and still not fixed the problem went on so long it caused even more damage and now I’m expected to pay even thousands more to fix a problem o paid to fix on multiple occasions. It’s Spark plug wires No steering damper problem No tire balance problem No it’s a normal vibration No front axle problem No transmission service problem flush and drive it. Months and thousands of dollars later the original problems torque converter get so bad it destroys the transmission due to dealership not diagnosing the problem and now wants thousands more to fix what I already paid to have fixed which would of originally been a 800-1200 repair not 8-10k thanks Willis ford Smyrna for charging me thousands to fix a problem that was never fixed. Highly recommend never using them. Be seeing you in court Willis ford along with Delaware, Better Business Bureau, and Delaware consumer affairs. Horrible service and screwing ur customers.  Stay far away from Willis ford

They lack quality control and follow through. I have went to them six different times to try to get a key fob programmed. I thought it was something simple to get a key fob programmed. However, they kept telling me that it was bad key fobs that I purchased from them. The last visit they now said it was the computer in the car and had to contact ford customer service and would call me. Although, they didn’t call me nor have contacted me to keep me informed throughout this painful process. I spoke with Chuck a customer service rep and he kept telling me that he would call back and never did. I was told that to replace the computer in the car it would be another $400 just for parts and no guarantee that they would be able to program my keep. I asked to be refunded my money and Chuck for over 2 weeks kept telling me that he needed to check with the manager. How long does it take to check with the manager? I called on 9/21/2022 and was informed that they were not going to refund any of my money. I currently waiting to hear back from the manager (Patrick) but more than likely will have to report it to my credit card service. I was charged for a service that they could not or did not provide. In addition, refuse to refund my money for the key and/or service charges. I only went to them because I have a Ford vehicle but it will not happen again.
