Great Service team! My family was stuck in town with a dead vehicle on our vacation travel home day. Trey and the GM service tech (sorry never learned his name) were able to squeeze us in on a Saturday morning and replaced the starter motor. In and out of the dealership in under 3 hours. First of all, I hate doing these things. I"m on the computer all day, & it becomes an issue to do the various rating. But since I've come this far, I will go on. I also believe that I've done one of these in the recent past, so it bugs me to get more of these after already completing one.

If this is too long- here’s the cliff notes: I’ve brought my car in twice the past 2 weeks for a total of 5 days and the basic request still not fixed. The most frustrating part though is the lack of communication. During that 5 day period, I only received 1 phone call. I understand if there are delays or unforeseen problems, but why didn’t anyone contact me? My previous experiences here were good so that’s why I rated 3 stars. I brought my car in on a Weds morning for standard service, fix the chrome out on my back window, and address a recall. At the end of the day Weds, the service manager called and asked if they could keep the car 1 more day as they needed more time. That was fine by me and I appreciated their communication. Fast forward to Friday afternoon and I still didn’t hear anything about my car, so I went in to get it. Come to find out they did the standard maintenance but not the recall or tape fix. I was upset because not only was my car not done, it wasn’t done during the period they said it would, and didn’t communicate any of this back to me. Fast forward to the next week, I scheduled another appointment to address the 2 unfinished items. I drop it off at 7:30am on a Tuesday and my service manager promised it would be done that day. The end of the day comes and goes and don’t get any courtesy call letting me know the status of my car. Another day goes by and still no call. Finally, I call on day 3 to pick up my car and they say it’s ready. Heres the kicker- tape still wasn’t fixed and no one told me. I can understand if there’s a back order or delay in inventory, but why didn’t anyone tell me?

The service department at Jim Browne Chevrolet GMC in Dade City were terrific to deal with. They replaced the windshield and repaired paint defects on the vehicle I purchased. They also replaced all the locking hub nuts and repaired a leaky tire. They were extremely responsive and repaired the vehicle without hesitation. I will take all my vehicles to Jim Browne for service given the attention they paid us. They provided the best customer service!

I pulled in the Service drive yesterday 6/11/2025 to have my trunk latch checked. Not one-person acknowledge me within 10-15mins, got out of my car walked past some advisors and a porter and no one asked me if I needed help. Pretty sad you have a luxury car, and this is how your service department treats you. BAYVIEW CADILLAC IN FORT LAUDERDALE HAD MUCH BETTER SERVICE INWHICH I ALWAYS GAVE 5 STARS. Need to work on Customer Service and appreciate your guest instead of ignoring them.

Edited review 5/31/25-General Manager Aleesa reached out to me directly. Arranged an appt and provided a car to drive while services being done. She was incredibly helpful and showed that this dealership really takes care of their customers. Made an Appointment weeks in advance to have my oil changed. I arrived at my scheduled time of 10am. Told the service advisor I was going to Walmart and i’d be backed as I had a birthday party to attend at 1pm. I retuned at noon only to find that my car had not been touched. 2 hours after my scheduled appointment my car was still sitting in the parking lot. I’m a super busy person and taking the time to drop off my car took advance planning. Ben the service advisor acted like it was my fault because I wasn’t able to leave my car there for 8 hours (all day) to have a simple oil change. I left with no oil change. Funny that this was the free maintenance Chevy offers. That’s one way to not stand by your promise, make it impossible to get the service done. I need to add that a year later I’m still trying to get my 2nd key that should have been given to me the day I bought the Car in June 2024. I guess it takes 6 months to order a replacement key that the dealership could not find. Needless to say avoid avoid avoid!

First it took several days just to get ahold of this place to make an appointment. They tell me one price for diagnostics and the price changes when I go to pick up my vehicle. I go ahead with the repair over $4000 for a TCM, Emission Valve, and Knock Sensor. I pick it up after 4 days and the check engine light pops on after two blocks! I take it right back and they try to blame a different place for the knock sensor which was what the code was for. I show them the bill that I had it done here and they tell me it wasn’t done. I sit there for half a day while they do the repair they had initially told me was done and had to cancel my plans for the day. I take it home next day the check engine light pops on again! This time it’s for the emissions light something they had also repaired. My gasket is also leaking transmission fluid I find out when I get my oil changed which they also tell me the transmission fluid is old and needs to be flushed. Guess what they also charged me for transmission fluid which wasnt changed. I sent the service manager an email and he did call and left me a message but gives me the general number to call back. I left a voicemail since no one ever answers and have yet to get a call back. This was pure neglect and nothing was done right after $4000. Lawsuit is looking like my only choice if I can’t get this fixed right. Absolutely horrible experience!

I was told online 800 down I get there about a hour in it changes to 1400 down then 2 hrs in they take my check stubs from me to make copies and when the salesman returns he tells me the owner said I can put 2000 down so if I want the car I need to come up with more money...by now I have already paid for the insurance and the tax tag and title and just about to pay the down payment...the worst thing of all I paid uber 70 dollars to get there and I had to pay another 124 to get home after being there for 4 hours and not getting a car. I am so disappointed and now I have to wait another 2 weeks to try some where else cause of all the money spent on uber's.

Will never go back. I took my truck in for a simple oil change, and tire rotation. I knew that is was going to be bad when I had to argue with the service writer. He argued that my engine took 8 quarts of oil, then I told him to only put 6 qts in it. He continued to argue about it. Obviously he has no idea, what he’s doing. Then he comes to me and tells me that 2 wheel studs broke off, it will cost $200 more, and it will be done in an hour. I told him NO, I will fix it, just give me the lug nuts( special for the rims), and I would drill out the broken stud out of the nut. He hands them to me, there is nothing in them, and no rust at all. What happened is they put the nuts back on with an impact wrench. It states “do not use an impact wrench on these rims”. And he had xxxxx enough to tell me that they didn’t use an impact on them. I watched them through the window. Since the Alan Jay Dealerships have been sold. The new owners have let them all go to xxxx. Former mechanics, have said it’s horrible there. LIKE I SAID, I WONT BE BACK, IM EVEN THINKING ABOUT TRADING THIS IN, and BUYING A DIFFERENT BRAND. DO NOT GO TO THE ALAN JAY SERVICE DEPARTMENTS.

Rating because of customer service. Upon returning to body shop because of loud scraping at my bumper area, All it would've taken would've been "sorry, we forgot to tighten up the plastic shield." Instead he insinuated I must have hit something on the way home. Wouldn't go back if future needs of body work.
