I brought my car in for what I thought was going to be a small repair and ended up needing thousands of dollars in work. The service department worked with my warrenty company to get as much covered as possible, they gave me a loaner car while the work was being completed, and the repairs were done within 2 days of me walking into the dealership without an appointment. They were extremely nice and treated me with respect. They kept me informed of the progress of the repairs and were considerate of my schedule.

I went to the dealer one saturday to trade in my 2005 chevy malibu. The car had 38,000 miles on it and it was time to get something better.

Decided to visit the nissan dealership closest to me. Berlin city nissan had a large wealth of cars to choose from and the altima coupe seemed to fit my needs as well as wants.

After being told my car was worth 3879 "Real Money" I decided to go for the altima coupe in their showroom, which was red with "Custom" leather interior (A Forced option not on the window sticker. I was assured it was custome with a liftime warranty). Mel was nice and explained the pro's of the car and design, etc. She had it 100% sold.

Total came to a little over 32,000$ after inequity was factored in, which was being ofset by my 6000$. (4500 Day of signing, 1500 two weeks later)

The papers were signed, down payment check written and the financing was "set". They were "Using a favor" on me and they sent me home in the car.

About noon the next day, i got a call from scott walker, explaining they tried everything and no bank was taking the deal. I regrettably had to bring the car back.

The car was brought back, papers "Voided" and i went on my way, a little dissapointed that such a deal was made and basically closed but fell threw at literally the last min.

Three days later i notice my bank account was $4500 lighter, They had accidentally cashed my check. I was frantic, and called the dealership directly after finding out. I got ahold of david, and was told he wasnt sure what had happened but it could be fixed. The ETA of when i would get my "Down payment" back was about a week. Last time i checked when a deal doesnt go threw there isnt a down payment.

I decided to visit the dealer each night for the next three days to check in on them and try to get something else in my "Price range" which was estimated at 330$ per month. No luck.

Moral of the story, it literally took a week to get my money back and i didnt even get a car from berlin city. If berlin city has an issue getting you approved and asks "Do you have any more money down?" laugh and run, you will be glad you did.

Three weeks later, i found myself at another nissan dealership in rockland maine. New Black Altima coupe, Better price, No shady financing. Approved.

Thanks shepard nissan.
