Suntrup Volvo O'Fallon - O'Fallon, MO

I believe in being fair. My wife and I liked the salesman (Dennis). However, once you actually buy from Suntrup, they do not remember their promises. I was told that for the routine service, just call in advance, bring the car in and get a loaner. I was told to call the salesman direct. When you call, he just transfers you back to the receptionist (no time for you), who transfers you back to service. Service doesn’t have any “loaners” for a week or more. They will sneak you in (in a few days) if you take a few hours off work, but then they will take 1 hour and twenty minutes while you are waiting. Volvo has a great service plan; unfortunately you have to take the car to them for service. I can change my own oil and rotate the tires in 45 minutes flat, lees the second time. I am not a mechanic with mechanic’s tools. If you buy from them just drop your car off and provide your own ride. Maybe the quick oil change shops have spoiled me?

I had visited the dealership on 2 previous times looking at a new 2009 C70. On my second visit I was encouraged to order a vehicle to ensure it was equipped as I desired. On that visit I was provided with some spec pricing based upon a 2008 vehicle on the lot. On Tuesday when I stopped in with the desired specs, I encountered an arrogant sales person (Robert) who essentially threw me out of the dealership indicating unless I was willing to settle on a price at that moment that he had no intnetion of providing me with additional pricing details. How does this person continue to work for Suntrup Volvo? How is a customer supposed to get pricing information on new vehicles in order to make an informed decision regarding the purchase of a $47,000 vehicle. Robert is the most obnoxious car sales person I have experienced in approx. 40 years of car ownership. I recommend you find another Volvo dealership at any cost!
