"I advise you to avoid this car dealership. Nowadays, there are numerous options available to purchase a reliable vehicle, whether new or used. However, this dealership still follows the old and unethical practices of taking advantage of customers, just like in the 70s. I bought a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee 80th anniversary edition from them, and when I took it for the first oil change, I noticed that the front end was shaking while braking. Upon investigation, I was informed that I needed new tires and couldn't do a tire rotation because the tires were in bad condition, despite the fact that I had purchased the vehicle less than five months ago. They are refusing to address the issue, and as a result, I am operating a vehicle that is unsafe—a vehicle they sold to me, fully aware of its condition.

Dealer rater please fix your system, this is the third time I'm writting the same review. My leased Hyundai Tuscon had a check engine light and I called Hyundai 112. First available appointment was in 2 weeks and first available loaner in about 2 months. This is not what was advertised. I called Hyundai Centereach and Marissa Riviera was very helpful and polite. Scheduled a next day appointment. I dropped the car off and they found the probelm first thing in the morning. Ordered the part, some switch which took a couple of days to arrive. They installed it asap, updated software, recalibrated and the car is now up and running. Thank you Marissa Riviera, Greg Briones, Ryan Woiosin, John Lane and a lovely girl at the cashier counter. (sorry if I misspelled any names). Service was under warranty and free. Highly recommed their service! Happy Easter!

Brought my car in for inspection and oil change...your service was outstanding.....Brandon Mannly was right on top of things ...we were well informed about how long it would take for the service....pretty darn accurate....he talked to us about what we should be looking for as far as break and rotor....wear on tires....walked us to pay window then walked us out to the car .....he was a pleasure to deal with ....got the car back in tip top shape...

Drop the car off and you’ll always get the “Hi Marshall this is Joe at Garvey Hyundai North you can text me anytime during your Service visit” don’t waste your time they won’t respond. You can call Garvey and they will get you over to service, they won’t answer and Don’t bother leaving a voicemail because they won’t return your calls. You need to keep calling until they get sick of you than they will “Try to get answers”. Brought up an issue to the Service Department 10/16 and its now 11/21 and this hasn’t been correct all they had to do was order a new Part and install it its plastic it breaks I get it but a MONTH to get it Resolved! This Service is the one of the Reason I will not be buying another Vehicle From Garvey Hyundai North!

I came here today to get service for my car. I have been driving for many years and have visited many service centers. I had many bad experiences before, so I did not trust service centers. But this time was very different. Two service advisors, Larry Biehl and Tim Biehl, changed my mind. They gave me the best service and made me feel comfortable. Now, I trust this place again. I can buy a car and get service at Smith Haven Jeep without worry. I am very, very thankful to both of them!

The visit was a repeat after an oil change. I was notified that the cabin filter had to be changed due to a mouse nest. I agreed to that. I think the fan/AC should have been checked after the filter was changed. When I went to use the AC there was a loud noise. We called the dealership and they made a second appointment (a few days out) to have us return for them to check it out saying something most likely fell down into the unit. Again, had the AC/fan been checked after replacing the cabin filter we would not have had to leave the vehicle a second time which cost us another $97. It was a bit frustrating. I just thought it was worth mentioning

The absolute worst service is located at Platinum Volkswagen in Hicksville NY. The dash screen in my vehicle was lighting up like the 4th of July I took it to Platinum Volkswagen because I was told but Volkswagen that they had certified technicians at this location. I the rude service person Karen Palacio would not allow me to complete my statement, and told me that she would do the diagnostic test and tell me what’s wrong with the vehicle. I dropped off my vehicle at 8am she sent me a test saying that another dealership probably just didn’t want to take care of my vehicle. Then she sent another text saying she’s going to lunch and when she gets back she will let me know what’s wrong. Then she said one hour before closing nothing is wrong come pick up the vehicle. I attempted to call and she sent me text messages while I’m calling the receptionist said she was with another client. Yet she’s texting me telling me there is something wrong with my vehicle. So I called again and the receptionist said she had left for the day. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told no so I told the receptionist I would pick up my car in the morning. So I picked up my car the following morning hoping to gain clarity from the supervisor who raised his voice and was completely unprofessional. I’ve never had this experience from a Volkswagen dealership… Platinum “fools gold experience” because that’s the level of service they are offering.

In April of 2023 we went on vacation for a week and came home to a dead 2022 Yukon purchased from this dealer. We contacted the dealer to inquire being this didn’t make sense happening to a brand new vehicle. We had heard from another dealership locally that there was a recall regarding battery drainage but it wasn’t “vin specific”. When we contacted king orourke the person we spoke with had no answers for us as there was no “bin specific” recall for our vehicle and told me to “take to the other dealer then” the customer service was horrible and our concerns were dismissed. We ended up having to buy a new battery out of pocket costing over $300. Fast forward to now, the recall letter was sent a few months ago, and we made the appt to have the update completed to care for said battery drain issue. We inquired with management to have some sort of compensation regarding the out of pocket cost and were again dismissed. The dealership claimed “your battery is fine” - yea, obviously. We paid to have a new one put in before we were formally notified about the recall. I really didn’t think we were asking much, floor mats. Something. But instead we were spoken to with zero patience or understanding. Poor customer service all around.

Brought car in for routine maintenance. All was fine or so I thought. Some time later when I pulled down my front visor with mirror I noticed dirty finger prints all over the mirror and a significant scratch on the interior material of the visor. As I expected when I called they are denying they had anything to do with it and wont do anything about it. I obviously can't prove it. I have had bad experiences with both Mazda Service and now Hyundai. I will have to take my business elsewhere in the future and I suggest you do as well.
