Back in March, the wife and I decided we were going to - ajmalone22
Back in March, the wife and I decided we were going to buy a new car since our old one was turning into a money pit. We found one we liked at a dealership that had 4.6/5 stars. That dealership was S and L Motors in Pulaski, Wisconsin. We drove the hour+ to check it out, decided it was a good fit for us, dropped ~$22,000 on it, and left happy.
Fast forward to summertime, we turn on the AC and nothing but heat is coming out of the vents. We called them and asked to talk to the guy who sold us the vehicle only to be told he isn't employed there anymore and that we'd have to talk to the service department. The lady transfers us to the service department but nobody answers the phone. We left a message asking for them to return our call. Nobody called back. So we end up calling 2 more times, leaving messages every time, and still got no call back. We call AGAIN and finally get through to the sales manager who assures us he'll get it scheduled and fixed and he'd call us back shortly with a time to bring it in to their service department. Again, NO CALL BACK. So WE call HIM back again. He tells us to bring it in on the following Monday.
We bring the car down there when he told us to but the service department had no idea we were bringing it in for some reason. They end up telling us to leave the car with them and that they'd give us a loaner vehicle in the meantime until ours is done being worked on. The next day they told us our vehicle was ready for pickup so we drove back, picked the car up, and left. Within a few weeks, our AC is dead again - nothing but noise and heat coming out of the vents. My wife calls twice and leaves messages to get the car back in for maintenance with no call back ONCE AGAIN. Shortly after, all 4 tire pressure sensors stop working.
I call S and L until somebody answers and demand to get our vehicle in the shop and fixed. We drive all the way down there AGAIN and drop it off. After waiting for 2 hours in the lobby, one of the desk workers comes up to me and says they're going to give me another loaner because they don't know how long it's going to take to fix our car. He tells me not to eat or smoke in the car and that I need to bring it back with the same amount of gas in it. I ask him "don't you think the gas should be comped since I keep having to drive back here?" He chuckles to my amazement, I say xxxx this, and leave.
A few days later, I call to ask for an update on the maintenance only to be told that our car isn't at S and L, it's at some other place they sent it to because they "weren't confident that their guys could put the dash back together". A few days later, we get a call that our vehicle is finally ready to pick up so we go down there again to pick it up.
We pull in to the dealership, next to our vehicle. We open up our car and get in. The first thing I notice is there's no gas in it. It's on E after their guy told me I had to bring THEIR car back with the same amount of gas in it - I made it up until this point before absolutely losing my xxxx, going into the building, and screaming at the desk guy and his manager. I told him "don't worry about the gas in my car, I'm gonna write you guys a lovely review" before heading for the door. As I'm walking away, I hear the manager laugh. I asked him "what's so funny?" to which he replied "nothing" and proceeded to walk to his office. Ignoring every instinct in my being to feed this mf his own teeth, I leave the building.
We get in the car and leave only to notice a few more things on our way back home - Second thing we notice is there's now a gap between 2 plastic panels on the center console where it looks like someone tried to pry one of the panels off. The third thing we notice is now our heat only works on high. Try to turn it down lower than max heat and nothing but cold comes out. Finally, we make it home and notice that the aftermarket green air stem caps we had on it are gone.
Worst experience buying a vehicle ever.
